Merlin Ambrosius

Princess Maja, Daughter of Queen Ygraine and King Uther Pendragon. Younger Twin Sister of Arthur Pendragon. His Warrior Dragon Princess.

Merlin Ambrosius, Son of Hunith and Balinor. Great Wizard. The Clumsy Wizard who fell first for the Princess of Camelot. Her Wizard.

In which, Merlin first meets Princess Maja on his way to Camelot.

Backstory:
Maja and Arthur are the twins of Uther and Ygraine Pendragon. Maja looks more like Uther's elder sister who passed when she was young, was once called to be the most ethereal looking princess of Camelot. Maja now holds that title. She may be a princess, but she surely does act like her mother when her mother was once a young child, mischeivous and wise.

Maja may not be the Queen of Camelot in the future, but she sure is the Queen of her people's hearts.

Maja's POV

I hum a song that I heard many times from my childhood whenever my father sung to me to bed.

My hands tightened on the reigns of my horse, while moving through the forest.

My horse suddenly pauses for a bit then starts to sniff lightly, "What is it girl?"

I comb my fingers through her hair to keep her calm, whilst soothing her as she began to pace back and forth.

"Is you're horse having some troubles?"

I got startled when a sudden voice and a man appeared not too far from us.

I look up and he looks like to be in his early 20's. I took a deep breathe and smile lightly at the man.

"Well it seems that way. Who are you?"

The man smiles and raises a hand before coming towards me, "Merlin. I'm Merlin Ambrosius."

I raise a brow, "Merlin huh? Well Merlin. What are you doing here? On this way through the forest is going towards Camelot. Are you heading to Camelot?"

The man nods, "Yes. Yes I am." He suddenly pauses and one of his hands go to his sling bag, and grabs an apple.

"May I?" He nods to my horse who looks at him curiously.

I tilt my head and nod, "Go ahead. I forgot to pack her bag of apples."

She eats eagerly the apple, "Well.. It seems she was only hungry."

I chuckle and nodded my head, "Thank you."

Merlin looks at me curiously, "You now know my name, but I don't know yours,"

I blinked in surprise, when my father hears about this, I'll surely get an earful for forgetting to introduce myself.

"Oh well, I'm Maja." I smile as I gave him my hand for him to shake.

He shook it and smiled, "Well Maja. Where are you and you're horse going? It's going to be dark in a few hours."

"Well-"

"PRINCESS!"

And there goes my very own self-declared mother hen.

"Sir Leon," I scolded him while putiing my hand on my chest since it was beating rapidly.

He looks to be out of breathe and tired, then looks at Merlin with wary eyes.

"I told you're father that I'll keep an eye out on you, and you decided that my death wouldn't be much important." He replies sarcastically.

Merlin's eyes widened and looks back and forth between me and Sir Leon.

I roll my eyes, "Well, you were slow. Tell me, when there is a zombie apocalypse, will you run or will you walk and talk very slowly?"

He blinks and narrowed his eyes at me, "You know very well I'm a slow runner."

I shrug and grin, "Which makes things easier for me."

He sighs and looks at Merlin, "And you are?"

"Merlin," His reply is very short which makes me worried, so I look back at him to see him close to fainting.

"Merlin?" I ask him worriedly.

He blinks repeatedly, "Princess?" Oh right. I didn't told him that. I usually forgot about formal greetings as I'm used to greet everyone and introduce myself with just my name. Also because I want a friend who wants to be friends with me only because of who I am, not because of what I am.

Sir Leon looks back at me tiredly, "You forgot didn't you?"

I sheepishly with a grin.
