Evangeline's POV

"Are you ready?" I ask Angie.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

We hear a honk and know that it's Peanut. Grabbing my purse, we tell my mama and Angie's mama bye. Angie gets into the passenger seat and I get into the back. Peanut starts the car and we take the ten minute drive to the doctors office.

"I'm going to sit down, while you help her check in." I say.

I sit in a chair that has two empty ones next to it. I get on my phone and start to play a game. I feel someone sit next to me and I look up to see Jayden.

"Hey strawberry." he kisses my lips.

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

"This is where Clark's mom works."

"That still doesn't answer my question."

"Clark's sister is having a baby and he asked for me to come to all the things he has to go to."

"Why?"

"He wants someone to vent to, help him through it, and be able to pick him up if he faints."

"Are you sure it's not him whose pregnant?"

"That's what I asked him."

"Where is he?"

"Back with his mom and sister. What are you doing here?"

"She's here for support." Angie sits next to Jayden.

"Support for who?"

"Angie and I might be having a baby. E.V.'s here to help both of us through this." Peanut picks Angie up, taking her seat.

"Hey!" she complains, before he pulls her onto his lap.

"Congrats if you are pregnant." Jayden tells them.

"Thanks man. What happened to you?" Peanut says.

"Peter!" I give him my mean face.

"I'm sorry." he throws his hands up.

"It's ok." Jayden kisses my cheek, "My dad and I got into a fight two nights ago."

"Oh, I'm sorry Jayden." Angie looks at him with compassion.

"Don't be, your not the one who did it."

"Where was your mom during all of this?" Peanut questions.

"Right there watching the whole thing. I had to hit him in the nose for him to stop and when I did she said that I was wrong for hitting him. And I deserved to get punched around."

"What kind of mother is she?" I shake my head.

"She's not a mother. She's just a woman who gave birth to me. That's all she ever was. Nothing more. I've always thought that she could care, but she doesn't." Jayden says.

"If you need somewhere to stay, you're welcome at my place." Peanut tells him.

"It's ok, I'm staying in a hotel. But thanks, anyway."

"No problem."

"Jayden you ready?" a blonde boy says.

"Yeah." Jayden stands up, "Tell me if you are pregnant."
