'I'll shove that quiver so far up your ass it'll be poking out through your mou'-

A pain in your shoulder interrupted your internal monologue, causing to grip it with a suppressed grunt.

'It just had to be the useless one. I can't believe I'm being cornered by Arsenal of all people. What a bitch'

Attempting to slightly peek your head over the crate you were hiding behind, you couldn't see far at all into the darkness around you. 'I don't know his position'

This was a terrible matchup for you. If it came down to meeting a Hero or Vigilante tonight your plan was to run.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't be an option since even if you somehow got out of this warehouse and gained distance, he could still shoot you from unimaginably far away. It was still unclear to you the full capabilities of Characters here since it varied whether or not they kept some of their feats.

Or Freeze having that advanced suit. You were never going to let go of that.

'I don't know what kind of gear he has, or his position. He could have night-vision goggles. No, I'm not sure whether this is the cocky Arsenal or not, so there could be a chance he went on patrol relying just on his sight'

Quieting your breathing, you stuck a hand over the crate slowly, holding it up there for a few seconds before retracting it.

'He might be trying to bait me into revealing more of myself. This could be a waste of time but it's better to check'

Deciding on something, you carefully withdrew one of the Court's throwing knives from your pockets. Then, you threw it at a crate a little distance behind the one you were using as cover, making sure that the hilt part of the weapon would hit it.

While the sound of the clang echoed, nearly immediately as it was sounded a faint whistle in the wind accompanied it and an arrow pierced through the crate.

Grimacing at how dangerous these ones seemed to be, your face graced a thoughtful expression.

'He doesn't have anything that allows him to see in the dark, otherwise he wouldn't have shot. He's relying on sound just like I am'

Patient in how fast you did it, you peeked an eye over the crate. 'Issue is, he's somewhere in the space in front of me, which is most of the goddamn warehouse'

To your far right was the entrance and exit to the place, and to your left was one of the metal stairs that led to a floor more elevated than the base.

'I can't just run out and hope to predict where the arrow will come from like earlier. I don't know where he is so I won't know the angle of the arrow will come from. Fuck. How did he even get in here?'

Looking around, you caught sight of the roof, which had a carved out hole in it.

'Oh you resourceful bastard'

Following the faint light, you saw that it led down onto the elevated floor on the opposite side of the warehouse, and your next choice of action was decided instantaneously.

Moving slowly and deliberately to not make a noise, you picked up your throwing knife and looked to your right.

Throwing it in which a way so that the handle banged off the floor multiple times before skidding to a stop, you used that to mask the sound of you moving to the stairs.

As the clangs echoed loudly, three arrows in unbelievable succession hit just a few centimetres off the weapon while it skidded. The last one though managed to actually hit your weapon, causing another clang due to the impact of metal on metal.
