I woke up the next morning and Caleb slept soundly. I washed up and headed downstairs, finding Kelsie and Liam sleeping on the couch and sofa separately.
I walked to the kitchen and I sat down, pouring cereal for myself. I heard footsteps approaching me and Liam stretched, sitting next to me.
"Hey." "Hi." I uttered.
"Are you...okay?" "No."
He sighed and rubbed my back. "I know yesterday was pretty intense." "You guys got a show." I smirked.
"It wasn't a pleasant one."
I sighed and turned back to my cereal.
"I'm guessing you won't be joining us tonight?" He asked. I looked at him and furrowed my brows. "What are you talking about?"
"It's prom night." "Fuck." I covered my face, letting the spoon drop to the bowl.
"Oh, it's fine."
"I'll be there. I could use a distraction." "Really?"
"Yeah. Can't stay here. I'll kill myself." I smirked. He frowned and looked away. "I'll be supportive of you." I smiled.
"Thank you."
He grabbed a bowl and poured the cereal first. He grabbed the milk and I could smell his cologne reach my nostrils. It's such a shame it didn't have the same effect it did the first time.
He poured it into his bowl and he smiled at me.
"Wanna do some shopping today?" He asked. I chuckled. "No. Probably too depressed to do anything."
"I'll take you out for a ride? It'll be fun?"
"It's fine, Liam. I'll just take it easy today." He smiled and nodded.
"So, Mr. Watson was kind enough to give us a lot of extra college points." "Really?" "Yeah, he said he was impressed with you. After everything you still managed to work it out." I smirked.
"Well, you did the majority." He smirked. "I did, didn't I?" He said. I rolled my eyes and chuckled, eating my cereal.
"So, when you said that was Elora's dad, you mean?"
"El Is my half sibling. Mom cheated on dad when I was seven. And lied to dad that it was his."
"Oh, wow." I nodded. "Imagine if she dated an African American? She'd have a tough time explaining that." I laughed and nudged him softly.
"That would be a showdown."
Caleb walked down the stairs and he smiled at me.
"You would have woken me up, I would've made you breakfast." I smiled and shook my head. "I stay with the classics." He patted my shoulder and sat beside me.
"Well, me too I guess."
I heard a thud in the living room and Kelsie approached us.
"Fuck! Falling off the couch is no joke."
"Elora's room was there. My parents' room was there. You people are..." I made a gesture of being half dumb and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. I'm starving." She sat down and poured food for herself.
"This is nice. The four of us." She said. I looked up at her and she cleared her throat. "You know what I mean." I sighed and pushed my bowl away.
"Let's just get through with tonight."
"You're going?" She asked. "Yeah, I wouldn't wanna disappoint my boys." I smirked.
"Both of them?"
"What can I say? I'm a whore." She laughed and dug into her bowl.
