The green hand Dan had fired went too far left and passed Uncle's head by a foot or two, but it still had the feline jumping away from it as it passed him. Dan and I hit the ground hard, my arm now throbbing slightly from the impact, but I don't care, I saved him.

I started to get up as Dan yelled, "What are you doing, he's right-?!" before he could finish, Uncle Nap had back slapped me away, slamming me into a wall and slashing across Dan's right side.

I groan as my brother cries out in pain, Aunty cries, "DAN!!!"

While my father calls for me, "NEARIC!!!" I look over and see him turn his gaze to Uncle Nap, "I'll kill you!" and charges him.

I reach out my right arm, "No, wait!" but I'm ignored, Dad crashes into Uncle Nap's torso, biting into it.

The feline grunts and wraps his tail around the canine, "Go away." He says simply before throwing dad into Aunty Scotch, who had just stood up to act.

I grab onto the wall beside me and start to pull myself up, looking to the right as I see Uncle Nap make his way to dad and aunty, clearly pissed, "I have to do something!"

Uncle Nap slowly raises his right claw up as he glares down at the two toys, Aunty pushing dad back as she gets ready to pounce, my father preparing to do the same, all while Dan holds down his injured side, squeezing his eyes shut in pain. I growl in absolute rage at the predicament that we're all now in, why didn't they listen to me, why wouldn't they give him a chance, he's being lied to, by that thing he calls a god... why won't they understand?!

Uncle Nap fully raises his claw as I drop a knee in exhaustion... and something else, as he says, "Goodbye... Heretics." He swings his claw down.

I shout with everything I have in my lungs, "ENOUGH!!!" everyone froze, including the claw that was just about to strike Aunty Scotch, then they all turned to me, "Just... stop, please!"

Uncle Nap lowered his claw to the ground and turned to face me, "Imposter."

I chuff, "You say that, and yet you haven't given me a chance to prove it to you."

Uncle Nap narrows his eyes, ears falling back, and growls angrily, "I don't need you prove it; my go knows the truth." He starts to march over to me.

I scowl, "No god is all knowing, especially if they have a body to keep their mind in. Just listen to me."

He stops in front of me, he stands on all fours at full height, head looking down at me, a scowl on his face as he hisses, "You dare insult-"

I interrupt him, "Shut up!" the shout catching my uncle off guard, causing him to lean away as his ears perk up at full height, "I will speak, and you will listen. I'm going to prove to you that I am Nearic 'Sunshine' Bearal. So shut up and listen to me!"

Everyone stares at me in surprise, including Uncle Nap, then his eyes narrow again, "Why should I care what you say, you're not him. Nearic died by the hands of the workers here, he didn't 'escape' I would know how hard to pull that off, I tried to as well, with my God at my side, and I failed."

I take a deep breath as he continues, "I was running away, escaping this horrible place before any Smiling Critter existed, before any of us existed! But I got hurt, badly, my God had to save me, sacrificing his chance at freedom in the process."

He growled as he looked down at his claws, his eyes shining with rage, sorrow, and distaste, "I was going to die, so the doctors had a grand idea, 'What if we used him for our next project, we could turn him and the other kid into the more important Critters for Playcare.'"
