The air got colder and snow fell in large sheets as it was getting closer to the holidays and everyone was ready to finally get a break from classes.

This week was the annual Slug Club Christmas party. Theo invited Densel, Aries invited Camilla, Cassie invited Izzy, Snape invited Regulus, and Ash was sneaking in with the rest of the group. No one would notice. Evan and Barty tried to convince everyone to let them sneak in. Keyword tried.

No one thought that they would be able to play it cool enough and not end up too drunk by the end of the party. So, instead, they were sulking and coming up with pranks for the people that were attending the party.

Ever since the one prank they played, the two plus Regulus had found that it was fun and exhilarating.

The night of, everyone was figuring out what they were going to wear. The other girls in their dorm never talked to them, but they could overhear one saying they got asked to the party by Mulciber.

"Okay, so what are we wearing?" Izzy asked as the two looked through their trunks, ignoring the girls fawning over the other one's date.

"Well, it is christmas, so I was thinking red?" Cassie offered, picking one up and putting it against her. Izzy looked at it and nodded.

"Yeah, looks cute, plus, we're always wearing green, stupid robes."

The older girl smiled, shaking her head as she took out her jewelry box to pick a few items to go with it. She picked up some earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet. All silver with diamonds. Were they expensive? Absolutely.

The Parkinson girl rummaged through her trunk before she finally found the red dress she was looking for. It had thin straps and was long with a high slit. Cassie's was a little bit more maroon and was shorter with full shoulder straps. Izzy and her had been searching for a while and found the best cover up spell.

"Did you know apparently he has several ministry officials coming and professional quidditch players?" The girl asked as she put on her green dress and was strapping her heels.

"Wouldn't be surprised if he brought a werewolf as well, we all know he's friends with a vampire," Izzy absentmindedly mentioned as she started to undress. She slid off her robe and pulled off her sweater, leaving her in her button up white shirt and skirt.

The other girls in the room gasped, "how could you say that?" Carlene Montage asked her.

The girl rolled her eyes and stepped into her dress and zipped it up as the other waited for an answer that they were never going to get. Her friend sighed and stood up.

"She was just saying, I mean, it's not like there's a full moon tonight anyway, so it won't matter."

"But werewolves are dangerous, they're half-breeds–"

Cassie scoffed and laughed at the girl, having to wipe her eyes from tears, "wait until Greyback hears you say that, then what will you think?"

All the girls stiffened and backed away from the Black. "That's not funny!"

"It wasn't supposed to be," Izzy smirked, her annoyance shining through. "Now, if you don't mind, we would like to finish getting ready for the party."

It didn't take them long, they were used to this by now and helped each other with makeup and hair. They had to look presentable because of the people they were meeting tonight. They needed to make an impression like their mothers had taught them.

Cassie curled her hair in ringlets and it draped past her shoulders as she braided the front of Izzy's hair and flat ironed the back. The other girls had already left early, wanting to see Carlene off with her date so Izzy was able to peacefully look through her trunk for a red bag.
