It was the only thing most 6th years wanted to talk about that day. All the houses were ecstatic to start learning.

Lily and her friends were talking about it in the hallway when there was a loud scoff from a Slytherin. They turned to where the sound came from and crossed their arms as Mucliber walked towards her with Avery watching from the side.

"Like a mud-blood like you could ever pass those, I'm surprised you're even still allowed to go here." The girls all rolled their eyes, they should've been long past that by now, it was 6th year and they had a lot of muggle borns in the school

"Fuck off, dickface!" Marlene shouted at him. She placed a hand on Lily's shoulder and the group started walking away from him. He glared at them and grabbed Lily's arm.

"I don't think you girls should leave just yet, the party was just getting started," he laughed and gestured for Avery to join him. They both drew their wands and Avery was faster than Marlene and Mary, "Stupify!" Both girls flew backwards and onto the ground, leaving Lily with just the two Slytheirns.

"I didn't do anything to you!" She shouted at them and drew her wand. She knew it was no use though. There were two of them and they were used to using dark magic. The most she would do was anger them.

Avery laughed at her, "aw, you didn't have to. Your entire existence is disgusting." He glared at her with the most disgusting look you could've given another human, like she didn't even deserve to be breathing the same air.

Lily started backing away from them, she didn't want to leave Mary and Marlene there, but they didn't want them, they wanted her. "I have just as much right to be here as you do!" She screamed, maybe she didn't care what they did to her. She was a Gryffindor, she wasn't going to just allow them to walk over her. "Actually, I have more of a right, I saw you during our potions OWL, you were dreadful. No wonder you aren't in NEWT potions, you could kill someone with a healing drought. I wonder how disappointed your parents were when they saw how terribly you had done."

Avery's smile faded and his hands started to shake, "Shut your mouth, mud–"

"See you don't even have a witty retort because you're that stupid," she laughed, making him even angrier.

"LEVICO-"

"EXPELLIARMUS!" Someone shouted as they came running down the hall. Avery's wand went flying through the air and Lily gasped. "How fucking dare you try and attack her, you worthless piece of shit!"

Mulicber glared at the disowned black boy, "oh, look at this, the mudblood needs a traitor to come and defend her." He grabbed Avery's wand off the floor by his feet and threw it back to him.

Sirius stepped in front of Lily, he had seen them with Warrington and the Carrows. They loved the Dark Arts almost as much as his family did. "You want to do this Black? Let's do it! Stupify!"

"Protego– Flipendo!" Sirius shouted and Mulicber got knocked back. Lily turned away from the fight as she tried to wake Mary and Marlene.

"Girls, come on, come on, we have to go!" She shook them. She tried the renivarate spell, but it wasn't working. "Merlin!" She silently did the levitating curse and started with Mary, running to get her to an empty classroom to safety before she ran to get a professor.
