Jeonghan spent the rest of his two days in the hospital with his friends constantly visiting him to hang out but it was mostly Jisoo and Seungkwan looking after him. Since Seungcheol's last visit, he hasn't heard from He did nothing but follow on his school tasks, and other following tasks that Jisoo and Seungkwan would provide him for his absences.
He couldn't lie to himself, but having to work while on bed rest was exhausting for him and it made his headaches worse. Jisoo scolded him a lot about it which was a little frustrating considering the visits from his parents would always just so they can berate and make backhanded comments on Jeonghan.
They are such good pretenders, Jeonghan would think to himself whenever his mother would say something about her caring for Jeonghan then once his step father speaks, she switch character. As for his step father, he love the man because he was actually a good father, great even.
Although deep inside he wish his step father would shut up, because he pressures him the most. More than his mother would. Jeonghan just swallows down his thoughts because even if he hated that part about his step father, that man was still Jisoo's biological father. And he loves Jisoo. The best brother he could ever have.
Jeonghan did miss his real father. The man who brought him to the world and taught him many things. It was no one's fault that his father lost his life to an illness. His father developed a brain tumor when he was young, and it killed him when Jeonghan graduated middle school.
But it's not like there's any difference with his step father and his real father. They were both the same in personality, maybe that's what made his mom marry the guy, Jeonghan thought to himself as he laughed.
They were both charming, smart and loving. A family man. But both were overzealous in their line of work. They would do anything for the family business and for the family name.
It confused Jeonghan how someone who doesn't even benefit so much from the business has this much dedication. The Yoon Family Business and everything of its property is exclusive to those who are part of the Yoon Family.
In fact everything that the Yoon Family owns is now under Jeonghan's name. Ever since his father died, all property and business were passed down to the heir. However, due to Jeonghan's age then, he was still yet to handle anything so the work was passed to his grandparents.
Due to age, his grandparents had to pass down the management to his mother until Jeonghan is fit to take over. So when his mother remarried a man from the Hong Family, one of their family's business partners, they both took over with the agreement that everything shall be given back to the rightful heir once he's come of age.
But maybe that does explain why his step father is such a fitting man for his mother, he was just like his original father, and he was dedicated to helping the Yoons despite not getting any incentives to it.
"Jeonghan"
Still, it frustrates Jeonghan how his step father is so pressed about their family status when he isn't even blood related to the name.
"Jeonghan"
Though he knew he couldn't blame the man. He is married to the widowed wife of the former Yoon Heir. So whatever status the Yoons have, it's goes the same for his own business and name.
"Jeonghan!" Jisoo shouted at the blonde's face as he was snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh, why?" He asked, receiving an annoyed look from his brother.
"Your doctor's here" Jisoo spoke pointing towards the door where his doctor stood. She was a beautiful woman, tall and slender, hair tied into a loose bun while her glasses rest on the bridge of her nose. It was not much of a surprise to Jeonghan when he met Jeon Wonwoo, the only son of the greatest doctors of the Jeon Hospital knowing that his mother was this pretty. He couldn't even imagine what his father would look like. But Jeonghan did love appreciating the beauty of other people.
