"I'm back in Cali, nigga" I yelled into the phone at Kilo while speeding down the road, "I'm finna pull up on you. Have the wood ready, bitch"
"It's ready" she yelled back causing me to laugh, "How far you is?"
"Like fifteen minutes"
"You want me to wait fifteen minutes, fuck no" she sucked her teeth at me, "Hurry up"
"Exactly, you know to wait"
"I don't know shit" she spat out causing me to laugh, "Hurry up"
"Aye listen, I'm tryna run the streets tonight. I need to go get drunk, go to the club" I said excitedly before she got hyped
"Yesss, we need to. Last time we was out toge —"
"Unt unt, don't bring it up" I cut her off before she died laughing, "You annoying, but that's the plan"
"Alright, we can talk about it some more when you get here" the phone hung up before I just shook my head
I left for the weekend for work. I had a show and a meeting about a upcoming collab.
My phone started ringing again before I looked to see it was Angel. I answered and heard shuffling in the background.
"Uh, hello?" I said kind of confused
"Did you really come home and not say nothing?" she asked in a disbelief tone, "I didn't even know you landed"
"Angel you not even home. Where you at?"
"Don't ask where I'm at after you touched back down unannounced. I wouldn't of known you was back if I didn't look at the cameras"
"Bae" I said while shaking my head
"That's so weird, and then you just left back out. Where you going?"
"Where you at?" I asked my question again because she ain't answer, "Tell me where you at and I'll tell you where I'm going"
She hung up before I immediately called back. Did she just hang up in my face?
"I'm on the way to Kilo"
"You're really gay, like seriously. You going to see your homeboy before your wife?" she started laughing, but I know it's to keep patient
She don't find shit funny.
And now that I'm thinking about it, she ain't letting me get drunk tonight. Angel ain't finna let me out the house.
Them plans is canceled.
"Where you at?"
"Flau'jae I'm with Mani"
She hung up before I sighed feeling crazy. I'm not gonna lie, I feel like a bad wife. She got a point.
Why would I come back home unannounced?
And why I'm going to Kilo first?
I can take accountability for that.
I hit a sharp U-turn heading in Mani's direction. After a few minutes, I pulled up in front of Mani's house.
I knocked on the door before Mani opened it and just chuckled. I'm already knowing Angel went off bad after we hung up.
