As a child, Elsa was terrified of who she was and what she could do. She thought that there was no one in the world who was like her. No one who could relate to her; that she could relate to.

After the incident with Anna, she knew she could never trust her powers again. What was once a beautiful thing was now a curse. She hid herself away from Anna, from anyone who she might hurt. She was lonely, miserable, and scared. She wanted to come out of her room, to run to Anna, apologize for shutting her out, telling her to go away. But she couldn't. It was too dangerous. This was for Anna's own good. At least that's what she told herself.

After such a long time of being isolated from her family, Elsa invented an imaginary friend. His name was Jack Frost. He had pure white hair, whiter than the snow, and blue eyes that sparkled when he smiled. He was like her, he had ice powers, too. He wasn't afraid of himself, though. But Elsa loved him with all her heart. She felt as though she wasn't alone anymore; she could finally be herself! And Jack would be there with her, through thick and thin. Whenever she was upset, he was there. He was her best friend.
