Chapter - 20

Chapter 10 A
Next morning Nandini woke up. She
stretched her arms,with closed eyes she tried
to find Manik but to her surprise Manik was
not there. She got up with a jerk.
"Where is Manik..!!"She thought. She very
clearly remembered their intimate moments
of last night moreover she slept in Manik's
arms but where was he now. Suddenly her
thoughts broke up by knock on the door.
"Come in..!!" She said softly. Door opened
and she saw Nayonika peeping in Nandini
smiled and she came in.
"Good Morning Nandini..!!"She greeted
Nandini she had a shopping bag in her
hand.
"Good Morning Aunty..!!" Nandini too
greeted her.
"Ya lo..!!" Nayonika gave her the shopping
bag.
"What is this?" Nandini asked curiously.
"Manik day kar gya hai..!!" Nayonika told
her.
"Manik? Where is he?" Nandini asked.
"He left early morning..!! Kuch kaam tha usy
college main..!!" Nayonika told her and she
nodded."Chalo tum fresh ho kar neechy aa
jao..!! We will have breakfast together..!!"
"Ok..!!" Nandini said smilingly and Nayonika
left. Nandini opened the shopping bag.
There were very beautiful white jeans with
red short top with matching accessories. And
also a small letter too. She opened it.
Nandini..!!
I know writing a letter thing is a bit cheesy
but pta ni why I like it..!! Well this a small sa
gift..!!Wear it I know when you will wear
this..it will become beautiful..!! I will come
home in evening..!! Take your medicines on
time..!! Take care..!!

Nandini smiled after reading the letter. She
got up to fresh up. She got ready in Manik's
gifted clothes. She felt herself glowing.
Manik's touch on her face,arms and neck
was still seems to be fresh. She was feeling
herself blessed. She was brushing her hair
when suddenly she remembered something.
"Oh God..!! Today is friendships day..!!" She
thought excitedly. "Hmmm..!! I must gift
Fab5 something..!! After all they are my only
friends..!! But how will I buy gifts..!!"
Suddenly all her excitement flew away when
she remembered that she had no money to
buy anything. She felt very sad. She wanted
to cry but she had promised to herself that
she will never cry. She sadly come towards
the bed. Her bag was placed on the bedside
table. She picked it up and sadly opened her
wallet but what she saw inside was enough
to shock her once again. There were many
notes of thousands and hundreds. And yeah
one more letter.
For Nandini..
"Again a letter..!! But I can't help it because
you don't have a cell phone right now..!! It's ok
we will buy one soon of your choice..!! Yeah
take this money..!! You have right on me..!!"

This was enough to bring tears in Nandini's
eyes. But these tears were of joy. She
just wanted to run in Manik's arms and
wanted to hug him tightly. She never ever
thought that he will take care of her this
much. Love and respect for him was
increasing with each passing second.
"You must be very special Nandini..!!" She
thought shyly. She run towards the lounge.
Nayonika was busy in kitchen. She picked up
the phone diary and searched for Manik's
number. After sometime she was dialing
Manik's number. She heard the ring and felt
her heartbeat increasing with each ring.
"Hello..!!"She heard his husky cold voice and
felt a lump stuck in her throat. She didn't
knew why she was getting so emotional.
After so long someone was doing so much
for her.
"Hello?" She heard his voice again silent
tears were rolling down her cheeks. She felt
her voice was not supporting her tongue.
"Nandini..!! Is that you..!!" She heard him
calling her name and she closed her eyes in
content. She wanted to say too much but she
was out of words. Her destiny was giving
her more than she expected. Or we can say
that after leaving the house she stopped
expecting something from destiny. She was
living in a poor mental state since last one
year but suddenly THE MANIK MALHOTRA
came as a guardian angel for her. How she
will thank her aiyappa..!! And for how many
things she will thank to aiyappa..!! For
giving her a lover like Manik? For giving a
mother like Nayonika? Or for friends like
Fab4? She had too much now to thank for to
her aiyappa..!!
"Nandini..!! Are you crying?" This time
Manik's voice had concern and panic.
"Manik..!! I..!! I just..!! I just wanted to tell
you that..!!" Nandini started slowly and was
trying her best to find her voice and words.
"That?" Manik's tone was curious and husky
too.
"That I love you so much..!!" She finally
tried to cover up all her emotions in a single
sentence. As soon as she finished her words.
She heard Manik's laugh she too smiled.
"Acha..!! And to tell me this you were
thinking too much?" Manik's tone was
amusing now.
"Bus aisy he..!!" Still Nandini didn't had
appropriate words to express herself.
"Ok jaan..!! I love you too..!!" She heard his
loving confession and a sweet smile spread
on her lips. "Tum nay breakfast kiya?" Now
he was asking with so much concern and she
was smilingly answering to his questions. He
was lovingly scolding her as her breakfast
was getting late. He was cracking funny
jokes and she was laughing. She was relaxed
now. After talking for almost fifteen
minutes. Then he hung up the phone
advising her to take care of herself. She was
now walking towards dining table and
thinking about Manik. That man really had
magic in his words. After talking to him she
forget about all the worries. Nayonika was
waiting for her on the table they both
eat talking to each other on different topics.
"Aunty..!! Main college chali jaoan please..!!"
Nandini asked pleadingly and
Nayonika was in a fix.
"Nandini..!! Your health..!!" Nayonika said
worriedly. She didn't wanted Nandini to go
to college today because Manik had strictly
asked Nayonika not to allow Nandini to
come to college. At least not today.
"Please aunty..!! Today is friendships day..!!
I want to greet Fab5 please..!!" Nandini
again pleaded.
"But Nandu..!!" Nayonika protested.
"No aunty please...!! I promise I will take
care of my health..!! Ok bye..!!" Nandini said
in a hurry and after picking up her bag she
run out. Nayonika wanted to stop her but
she couldn't as Nandini didn't listened to
her.
"Agr Nandini nay usy dekh liya tou? But No
HE will be gone before she reach to
college..!! Yes..!! Should I tell Manik? No..!! I
can't bear his anger..!! Oh God..!!" Nayonika
was too much worried.

"I have heard so much about you all..!!" HE
was standing in the Fab5 jamming room.
"We too have heard so much about you..!!"
Manik said with a clear taunt and HE turned
towards him.
"I like you young man..!!" HE said frankly
putting his hand on the Manik's shoulder.
Manik jerked his hand mercilessly.
"Haahh..!! Sorry to disappoint you
Mr.Rahul Khana..!! But I seriously don't like
you..!!" Manik said with his usual smirk.
Hearing him Rahul laughed loudly.Fab4
were just smiling naughtily.
"Hmm..!! I know my first impression is
really not good on anyone..!" Rahul said in a
normal tone he was least affected by
Manik's taunt this time Manik laughed
hatredly.
"You are funny..!! Impression..!!" Manik said
playfully emphasizing on the word
"IMPRESSION".
"I will take that as a compliment..!!"Rahul
said in a normal tone. "But seriously your
attitude will lead you towards a
big big disaster..!!" Rahul said in a serious
tone as if he was telling Manik a "Paty ki
baat".
"Woo..!! I am scared..!!" Manik said
dramatically. "But Mr.Khana..!! You don't
have to tell me about my attitude..!! I know
myself very well..!! I am must have a
attitude problem..!! But I don't play with
innocent hearts..!!" Manik said sarcastically
and this time Rahul frowned.
"So you want to tell me that I play with
innocent hearts?" Rahul's tone was now
totally changed.
"Oh no no..!! It was just a phrase..!!" Manik
said innocently.
"Huhh..!! Tum
kal kay larky mjhy mat sikhaoa..!! You can't
challenge my experience..!!" Rahul said in a
little high pitch.
"Well Well Mr.Rahul I am not daring to
challenge your experience I was just..!!"
Manik was about to say something
harsh when Cabir pressed his shoulder.
"Mr Rahul..! Tou ab hum album deal paki
smjhain..!!" Cabir tried to change the topic
he knew Manik very well that this
conversation will lead to a serious fight
which was not a part of their plan. They
can't afford it at least not now.
"Cabir..!! Your friend has a serious attitude
your problem...!!" Rahul was now angry on
Manik.
"I already told you that my attitude is not
your business..!!" This time Manik lost his
temper he almost shouted.
"Watch your words boy..!!"Rahul too
shouted.
"Sir please..!! Manik chup kar..!!" Mukti
came forward and intentionally placed her
hands on Rahul's chest to stop him from
holding Manik's collars. Rahul stopped and
look at Mukti. Mukti intentionally slowly slid
her hands on his chest. She smiled at him.
He was looking at Mukti his gaze was full of
lust. All noticed the change in his
expression. Mukti was the Manik's
trump card. Mukti playfully winked at him
and he smirked.
"So beautiful lady..!! Because of you I am
signing this album deal with you..!!" Rahul
said smilingly. "Otherwise your attitude full
friend is so annoying..!!" Rahul whispered
and Mukti laughed playfully.
"I told you not to discuss about my
attitude..!! You don't have any other choice
but sign this album with us..!!" Manik said in
an ice cold tone and Rahul felt humiliated he
wanted to cut Manik's words but Manik
showed him his hand to stop. "If one more
time you tried to give me lecture about my
attitude I swear I will dig your grave right
hear..!! You don't know MANIK MALHOTRA
yet..!!" Manik again said coldly and picked
up his guitar to play. It was clear indication
for Rahul that he must leave now. Mukti felt
the situation going out of control. Mukti and
Cabir look at each other and nodded.
"Sir..!! Come I will show you the way to
outside..!!" Mukti said frankly and held
Rahul's arm. He smiled and nodded his
head. As soon as Mukti left the room with
Rahul Manik threw his guitar on the floor. It
shattered in pieces. Manik was gritting his
teeth in frustration.
"Manik..!! You have to control your
anger..!!" Cabir said in a serious tone as he
started picking up the broken guitar from
the floor.
"Haan buddy..!! You have to control yourself
if you want a revenge..!!" Dhruv too said
and Alya nodded.
"I can't..!! I just can't..!! You know how
much it hurts whenever I thought that My
Nandini was molested by that bloody
rapist..!! He was standing in front of me..!! I
wanted to rip him in pieces..!! And have
you seen the way he was looking at
Mukti..!!" Manik said helplessly as tears fell
of his eyes.
"Manik relax..!! This Mukti thing is a part of
our plan..!!" Cabir tried to calm him down.
But kept quietly sat on a chair. Alya,
Cbair,Dhruv exchanged glances and then
they almost run towards him and
hugged Manik tightly.
"Lets go to Canteen..!!" Manik said and they
all agreed.
