A New Beginning

After a few hours of pansycake fighting, I sent them to the dorm. Four went back to check up on the borns an hour ago. I saw Christina and she ran up to me.

"I can't believe he would cheat on you like that." Christina whispered

"I need to look somewhat nice tonight. I've look like crap for 24 hours and I'm tired of it."

"Let's go shopping then."

We laughed and walked to the store. I came out with a pair of pants, a tank top and a black makeup kit. We walked to the tattoo parlor. We each got a new tattoo. We both got a huge bird on our backs to symbolize our friendship. We then went back to Christina's apartment. I changed my clothes and then sat down in her bed. When she was done with my makeup, she gave me a mirror. I had a lot of mascara, eyeliner and a smokey eye. Will walked into the apartment.

"One, you look amazing. Two, I'm sorry Four cheat on you like that while you were gone." Will said as he tried to give me a hug

I pushed him away.

"I just got a huge tattoo on my back and I hurts like hell." I said

"Don't be hugging me either." Christina said

We went to dinner. I put on my jacket to conceal my tattoo. We ate with Uriah and Zeke. I couldn't find Tobias anywhere. By the time I had finished eating, it was 7:50. Everyone was still chatting away. I stood up.

"Where you going with your 5 pounds of makeup?" Uriah said

I threw a roll at him.

"None of your business." I said. "If you stalk me I will whoop your ass."

I walked to the ledge over the chasm. There was a note.

Change of plans. My apartment, on the deck.

I picked up the note and walked to the deck of his apartment. I walked into the apartment and set the note on the counter. I walked outside. Tobias was leaning over the rails. I slammed the door on my way out to the deck. He glared at me weird. I walked over to him. He hugged me and I flinched. He pulled away.

"Are you okay?" Tobias asked

"New tattoo." I said

"What is it?" Tobias asked smiling, recreation the first time we kissed

"You wanna see?"

He nodded I slipped off my jacket. The tattoo was visible just above the tank top. It wrapped around my shoulders and went up my neck a little bit.

"It's beautiful." He said

I smiled and turned around. I stood on my top toes and fitted my lips to his. He placed his hands on the small of my back and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I pulled away slowly.

"I think we should mess with them a little longer."

"How should we do that?"

"Pretend we aren't back together."

"So we are together now?"

"Yes we are."

"Hm."

"What?"

"I like how you look."

"With 5 pounds of makeup?"

"With or without the 5 extra pounds."

"Meet me in the training room after transfer training?"

"Deal."

I smiled and pecked his lips. I picked up my jacket and put it back on. I jumped off his balcony. It was only two stories off the ground so I wasn't that bad. I walked around the city for an hour then went back to the compound. I went to find Uriah. He was running around the halls. He hugged me when he saw me. I flinched.

"Where were you? Are you okay?"

"A, I was taking a walk and B, no I'm not I just got a tattoo on my back."

"Sorry. Will is staying at my place and Christina wants you to stay with her."

"Okay."

I walked down to Christina's apartment. When she answered, I walked in and she closed the door behind me.

"Where were you?" Christina asked

"I was out."

"Where did you go?"

"I just ran."

"Then why all the makeup?"

"I was going to meet someone but they didn't show up so I just ran around."

"Okay. On other notes, I'm kinda angry that Four cheated on you. I didn't go to he party because I got sick but if u was there, I would've shot him."

"Chris,"

"Seriously. Wait, do you still love him?"

"Kinda. I mean, I'm mad at him for what he did but at the same time, I still have feelings for him deep down inside."

"That was deep."

We both laughed. I took off my jacket and placed it on the back of the couch. I laid down on the couch.

"Do you want the bed?" Christina asked

"No I'll be okay." I said

I fell asleep. I woke to banging on the apartment door. I opened it. Uriah was standing there.

"We have an incident in the transfer dorm." Uriah whispered

I grabbed my jacket and left a note for Christina. I walked to the dorms with Uriah. I saw everyone huddled around a single target. I saw a man standing away from the group. I recognized him. He was Jack Kang's son. His name was James. I walked over to the target. It was a blonde haired girl. She was the first in their dorm. Her name was Sara. She was from Erudite. There was a huge wound in her leg. Uriah carried her to the infirmary.

"In the training room in two. I hear about one more incident and it won't be pretty. I know who did this and you know who you are. I would watch it if I were you."

I walked to the training room. Uriah came into the training room a few minutes after the initiates. They were practicing for their fights.

"I told her that she probably won't be in Dauntless anymore."

"She still is. If she is unable to train before her fight in 2 days then she will be out."

Tobias came over to me.

"I heard you had an issue this morning."

"She's out if she can't fight in 2 days."

"Are they ready to fight?"

"No. Not even close. They are all pansycakes. Except or Kang's son. He's deadly."

Tobias walked over to the ring. I walked beside him with Uriah beside me.

"James! In the ring. Al!In the ring." Tobias yelled

Al and James stood in the ring. They took stance and started fighting. Al made a cut to the throat. James stumbled backwards. He punched him in the gut and Al returned with a punch to the nose. James fell to the ground holding his nose. Al kicked him in the stomach. He waited for a second. James didn't get up. He helped him up and carried him to the infirmary. I looked at Tobias. He nodded. We worked more on knife throwing until lunch. Tobias left after the fight. I walked to the Pit to see Tobias before going to lunch.

"I don't know how much longer I can do this." Tobias said

"Zeke is having another party tonight. Uriah said he would go with me. As friends."

"Then we will save our reservations for after the party."

I kissed him goodbye then went to lunch. I sat down next to Christina and Will. I ate silently.

"Tell me." Christina said

"What?" I said

"You are never this quiet. What are you hiding?" Christina said

"Go to Zeke's party and you'll find out." I said, smirking
