I bolted upright. I was shaking as the tears fell. I felt arms wrap around me and something hard corner my shoulder and head.

"Sh. It was just a dream." Tobias whispered.

I let the tears fall silently. Tobias ran his fingers gently through my hair.

"Why weren't you answering me at lunch?" I asked, trying to divert my mind.

"I'm a softer person around you and I don't want the transfers to see that and take advantage of me." He whispered

"Trying to maintain your tough guy status. I see." I joked

We decided to get up and get ready.

Skip to the end of initiation
Tobias and I stood in the cafeteria with the rest of the initiates. The ranks appeared on the board. We heard cheers and screams. Britney ended up first, like me. Once the board was finally filled, I turned to Tobias.

"What about we recreate some old memories?" I asked.

I didn't give him a chance to answer before I locked my lips onto his. He held me tight. Then we broke off from each other. I smiled and he smiled back.

Britney, Tobias and I all headed back to our apartment.

We celebrated with Uriah and other Dauntless born initiates. Everyone stayed overnight. Everything was perfect. No war, no fighting, no deaths, nothing. Just peace. I fell asleep in Tobias' arms. Just before I slipped away, I heard him say something.

"I love you Tris, for as long as I may live."

Then I was gone, into the darkness.

Short I know. The next chapter will be a little longer.
