Soldiers

We face the war
And never know the score
We face the blame
Even if it wasn't us It's a shame
We face the death penalty
When no one knows what is going on mentally
We face the facts
That no one knows how to act
We face the life we live
Because we can give
We can give ourselves away
And save our stories for another day
We are soldiers
We are soldiers
We make the sacrifice for ones we don't know
We let our true colors show
We are strong
We know exactly where we belong
We stand here because we give
We can give our lives so someone can live
And we will because
We are soldiers

It's our only shield
Truth be told

Because our soldiers won
And our soldiers are done
The sun has set
Our goal was met

And we did just that here in the battlefield
Where we wield
The true colors of victory
Our story may not be history
