Corner

Alone in my corner
I sit with my knees to my chest
And my head held low
The tears running down
Burning as they go
Like the acid that is thrown
At me from the words you have spoke
You think that it's okay
Because words can't hurt anybody
Right
Wrong
Your words are acid
Burning my tears as they fall
Onto my skin creating scars of your own
On my perfect skin
That you had no right to mark
The tear then fall to the floor
That used to be gray concrete
But is now stained red
But you can't see that
Since all the lights are off
I'm alone in my corner
But you're still here
On the other side
With your acid filled mouth
That laughs at my weakness
Making my tears sting
As they touch my perfect skin
That you now scar
I sit alone in my corner
Trying to get rid of the acid
That is spoken
But it's hard when your words
Are the only ones that I remember
And your not even here with me
No there not voices in my head
There the acid words you speak
Creating the scars that burn me
