What have you done to me?

Waking up just to see
You text me "Good morning"
Makes me smile
Kissing on the first date
Was easy for me
Yet when I'm with you
Holding your hand
Makes me nervous
I feel like I'm gonna mess up
Even though you say I won't
I can't lie when I'm with you
And even if I do
I feel so guilty
That I didn't tell the truth
I have my moments
Yet you're still there
Through it all
You don't care about my past
You just wanna see my future
Yet with you
You always listen
But right now
I need you to listen carefully
Because it takes a lot for me to say this
When I'm with you
I actually feel human
Not a mix of tests and pills
I feel real for once
And for once
It doesn't feel like a lie
When I tell you that
I love you
