Chapter fifty-one

"That's probably the reason why Andrea called me this morning telling me to stay away from her. She was probably forced to say it." Ryder said as they were all sitting on the couch in the living room. There were police officers who were trying to investigate on what exactly was going on after hearing the information from Rina.

"Do you remember who kidnapped you?" One of the officers asked Rina.

"It was Andrew." She whispered with her head bowed but Steven still heard her.

"Andrew Parks?!" He screeched. "He was the one who kidnapped you?!" He furiously said as the memories of an innocent Rina that was destroyed because of that guy flooded Steven's mind. He was the reason why Rina almost lost her sanity. Ryder couldn't help but be mad as well. Not to mention, their father was screeching in rage.

"Yes, but he was under attacked. And there was this other guy who took me from Andrew." Rina said as the officer furiously write the information.

"Do you remember the guy? Do you remember what he looks like?" The officer questioned.

Rina narrowed her eyes and crinkled her forehead as she tried to remember the guy's face. "Kind of. But I don't really know how to describe him." She answered in defeat as Ryder sigh in dismay and grabbed the laptop from the table. An image popped up from the screen and Rina's eyes widened in surprise.

"Him!" She screamed. "That's the guy!" She said pointing to the screen as they all tried looking at the picture. "I remember him. I remember that tattoo." She said as she studied the three-leaf-clover tattoo with a sword on it. "I can't be mistaken."

Ryder's jaw clenched from angry as he just learned that Jason Alfonso had Andrea in her hands. He had to go save her. He knew that she was only lying over the phone when she called. He had to go and find Jason to kill him with his bare hands.

"That motherf***er!" Ryder cursed as he closed the lid of the laptop and threw it on the nearby couch.

"We'll investigate right away." The officer informed and looked back to Rina. "Do you remember the location? Anything you noticed?"

"All I know is that it's some sort of a storage house or a rundown factory. The walls were bare with only graffities on them." Rina answered as the officer nodded and left the room and started talking with the others to inform them.

"I don't understand, why would he take Andrea if I'm the one he's mad at?" Ryder muttered under his breath but Scott couldn't help but overhear.

"The race is in three days, right? Try to piece it all together." Scott coldly said as he left the living room and talked to the officers. Ryder then knew that Scott was right, Andrea was taken because of the race.

"Eat, I don't want you to starve to death. At least, not yet. I still need you in case Ryder shows up in the championship race." Jason ordered Andrea as he untied her hands and placed the food on her lap. "Don't do anything stupid or your boyfriend gets it." He threatened as Andrea stared at the food warily. She was starving and she just wished it wasn't poisoned as she started eating.

"Why is this race so important to you? It's just a race, I don't understand." Andrea commented with her mouth full.

"Do you think it's just an ordinary race? Do you think I would do all these dirty works just for an ordinary race?" Jason asked in ridicules. Andrea eyed him but continued to eat because she hadn't eaten anything for 24 hours since she came yesterday.

"Let me explain this in a way you'll understand." He said as he placed a chair backwards and sat on it facing her. He rested his arms on the back of the chair as he spoke. "If I win this race, I earn tons of money. Lots of them. And you know what they are? Dirty money."

Andrea was more confused. "I thought you do legal racing." She voiced out her thoughts.

"I'm not talking about the price money from winning the race. I'm talking about the money that I get from my sponsors. And your boyfriend earns the exact amount if he wins."

"Sponsors?"

"You ask too many questions. Just finish your food and be quiet. I have to make a phone call. Mandy, watch her." He ordered.

"Yes boss." Mandy obeyed and sat on the chair Jason was sitting before. Jason exited the room and fished his phone out of his pocket. He redialed the number and waited for the answer.

"Hello?" The voice answered.

"Ah, how are you? Three more days before the race." Jason said with a smirk on his face.

"And so? Are you ready to lose?" Ryder asked arrogantly earning a frown from Jason. He chuckled humorlessly and hissed over the phone.

"I'm not gonna lose to a phony like you. Besides, I don't think you'll be coming that day." Jason smirked again.

"What do mean?"

"If you come, I'll make sure that your girlfriend doesn't make it before the race ends." He threatened as Ryder growled in response. "We don't have to get the police involve in this. My conditions are very simple, Collins. Don't come to the race and I'll make sure that your girlfriend's safe. So simple."

"Don't you touch her, Alfonso!" Ryder screamed over the phone.

"She's quite gorgeous, isn't she?" Jason teased him earning a growl from Ryder. "A little feisty too. Just the way I like my women." He continued.

"Touch her and I'll kill you!" Ryder warned but Jason just laughed finding his irritation funny.

"Have a nice day, Collins." He said hanging up the phone.

In the meanwhile, Ryder was raging over the phone call. He just wanted to get his fist on Jason's face and punch him merciless.

"We've got it, the phone has been located." The police officer said as Ryder nodded and let out a deep breath.

"Good." Ryder responded and readied himself to kill a man.
