"Right, Nathaniel Mercado."

I prepared myself for his nasty comeback but it did not happen since a sexy Karla in her red long gown excitedly hugs me. "Azure, my taste was never wrong. Look at you, you're so gorgeous. Just look at all those eyes fixed on your direction. The same goes to you my beautiful cousin." She said looking so proud at her work of genius, which is us. "Oh! Hello to you too Nate, what's with that sour face?" Nathaniel just completely ignores her and was still focus on me. I shifted my gaze to Karla as she greeted Mr. and Mrs. Mercado.

"Where are your parents Karla?" It was the first time I heard Mr. Mercado's deep voice.

"They're on their way Tito. Pano hiramin ko muna 'tong dalawa marami na kasi ang lumalapit sa akin para ipakilala daw sa kanila." Nathaniel angrily rose from his seat at tiningnan ng masaya si Karla.

"What the hell Karla!" He yelled at her furiously. His hands were clenched and his brows were forming one line.

"Shut up Nate! Matuto ka ngang remespeto, baka nakakalimutan mong mas matanda ako sayo ng dalawang taon. Call me ate Karla, okay?" She spat at hinila kaming dalawa ni Sav palayo sa table na iyon. "That jerk kailan ba ako tatawagin ng ate nun!"

"Ang wrinkles ate chill ka lang."

"Ay teka kumain na ba kayo?" Both I and Savannah shook our heads. "Ako din, kain muna tayo bago ko kayo ipakilala." Kaya sa may buffet table nalang kami pumunta. I watched at their plates as we settled on our table and was amazed on how little their foods were. Karla was a good talker, kami naman ni Sav ay nakikinig lang at nagbibigay din ng opinion whenever she ask for it.

Suddenly the hall was filled with murmurs and giggles which made us stop eating. I mean I stop eating since both of them were finished with their foods already. "Anong meron?" asked Savannah.

"Oh I think I know why, nandito na ang representatives ng five biggest family in business world." Then 5X emerged from the crowd, of course they'll be here. "Az pwede ka ba naming iwan sandali may kakausapin lang kami nitong pinsan ko?"

"Sure, go ahead." Savannah looks hesitant since she said she won't leave me even a second. "Just go Sav, I'll just stay here besides I'm not yet done with my food."

"Thanks Az, balik kami kaagad." So I was left alone on our table kaya nagfocus nalang din  ako sa pagkain. It wasn't that long when I felt his presence coming towards me but I chose to not look at him kahit nung umupo na sya sa inupuan ni Savannah kanina.

"If you think I'll just let it pass then think again. How dare you humiliate me in front of my parents?" Sa malayo pa lang alam ko ng si Nathaniel ang papalapit. "Run out of any smart comebacks eh?" He said cockily as he dramatically titled his head on the right trying to get a good view of my face.
