Days past and I was still getting endless questions off my mum. “So do you like this Conor boy then? He’s pretty good looking!” “Mum please just stop, we are just friends okay, nothing more!” I quickly left the house so I could get away from her. I got to the bus stop early today and Conor still wasn’t here so I put my head phones in and started to listen to my music. A light tap on my shoulder made me jump a mile; I looked up and saw Conor standing there with an amused expression on his face. “DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!!” He just burst out laughing and I couldn’t help but smile. We were waiting for the bus when I randomly burst out, “So, who’s the lucky lady that’s ‘caught your eye’ then?” I could see him blush a little and he couldn’t look me in the eye. “Do I know her?” he just simply nodded his head; he didn’t like this topic much so I quickly changed it. “Oh I forgot to tell you, I’m having a party this weekend at my house with loads of people from college, do you want to come?” He seemed really enthusiastic about the whole idea and we talked about it until the bus turned up.

Conor wasn’t here for lunch yet so I decided I would go and try and look for him. I saw him standing by a bunch of lockers so I made my way over to him until I saw who he was with. Jess, this girl has never liked me and I don’t know why, she wasn’t majorly pretty and I don’t know why all the guys fell for her. The only guys I know who don’t like her are George, Alex and Tonez. I guess this was the girl who had ‘caught Conor’s eye.’ It made me jealous seeing him talking to her which was weird as me and Conor are only friends. I turned away with a disgusted look on my face and walked back to my friends. “Did you find him?” Alex asked. “Sure did, talking to ‘Jess’ so I just left him to it.” They all had disgusted looks on their faces like I did and I burst out laughing. “What’s so funny?” I recognised Conor’s voice and he sat down in the spare seat next to me. “Oh nothing…” He just smiled at me and turned to the boys and started talking about football, football doesn’t interest me so I joined in on Amanda’s and Megan’s conversation.

I was glad the day was finally over, I was tired and just needed to rest. Me and Conor got our bus and we just generally chatted for the whole way home. He walked me to my house which I thought was sweet and I couldn’t help but ask him about Jess. “I saw you with that Jess girl earlier.” “Yeah, she insisted she’d help me get to you guys even though I told her many times I was capable of getting there myself.” He rolled his eyes which made me smile. “She’s really annoying actually…” I burst out laughing and he just chuckled to himself. “You have a cute laugh,” Conor said and then turned his back on me and walked away. I was smiling like a right idiot to myself for the rest of the evening. I liked Conor as a friend…but I think my feelings are starting to change. I felt stupid as I’ve only just met him; I guess it was just a little ‘crush’
