Two weeks before the Shutoku game, the exams occurred in Seirin high. They had the whole day of examinations. Taiga looked at his paper while struggling in thinking. He was biting the tip of his pencil, holding his forehead. 'I have no idea what this is' he thought. 'I'm done for'. He turned his head to Aya who doesn't seem to be mental suffering and looked concentrated and answered her paper quickly. "Eyes on your own paper Kagami" the teacher noted eyeing on Taiga. He gulped and turned to his own paper. Aya took a quick glance at her red haired friend giggle lightly.
TIME SKIP.
At the gym, the Seirin players gathered with their test exams. They were all nervous about the results; they were shaking and still haven’t seen their test results. "Okay, after of three" Shinji uttered getting ready with their papers. "1...2...3..." they flipped their papers to see their results. "Gah! Answering the test was mind blowing!" Taiga sighed as he walked towards the gym with Tetsuya and Aya. "Mm" Aya agreed with a nod. "Have you guys already seen your test results?" she asked. "Ah, I didn't look at it, what about you Kuroko?" Taiga responded. Tetsuya looked at them from the book he was reading. "Oh, I forgot to look, I was busy reading" he replied. Taiga sweat dropped at him. "What's up with that book anyway? Why are you addicted to it?" he wondered. Tetsuya looked at Aya then at Taiga. "It's nothing" he uttered and continued to the gym. After the two players changed and Aya sitting on the bench with Tetsuya #2, Riko assembled all the freshmen. She planned that every year has to look together at the scores they got. They all circled around and got their papers read, even Aya joined them. "1... 2... 3...." they showed their scores and were happy to see the scores they got... except for three... "Wooh! I thought I was done for!" Koki sighed in relief who scored 74 out of 100 that was an exceptional grade. "Me too! I got 63!" Koichi joined in. "I got 51!" Hiroshi announced in joy. They all passed which means they could attend the game in two weeks. "What did you guys get? Kuroko, Kagami-kun and Aya?" they turned to the three.
The three's heads turned purple staring at their score. "1-14 over 100?" Taiga looked at his score, his face purple. "Oh, I got 48" Tetsuya said bluntly. "What about you Aya-kun?" "Oh, I got 23 over 100" she showed her paper. "WHAT?!?!?!?!" Riko screamed with thunder at the background. The seniors' jaws dropped and their eyes widened. "Why didn't you score 2 more points to pass?!?!" Riko strangled Tetsuya continuously. "Gomenasai senpai" Tetsuya apologized. "KAGAMI! DIDN'T WE TELL YOU TO STUDY?!" Junpei hollered sending daggers at Taiga. "W-Well, I forgot to copy notes" he reasoned. "Yeah, Taicchi keeps on sleeping in class" Aya mentioned. "EH?!" her senpais exclaimed. "Like you don't sleep in class!" Taiga snapped. "We're doomed!" all of the players thought except the three.
"THE THREE OF YOU!" Riko grabbed the three in front of her. The three sat there quietly and waited for her to yell at them. The Coach let out a sigh. "It can't be helped, training has been tough for the both of you these days and I guess it's worn you out" she guessed. Taiga just nodded in response trying to use that excuse too. "But it doesn't mean you’re an idiot for not passing! You all know that if you don't pass the exams you won't be able to attend games!!" she hollered scaring the three. "I guess we have to group study in order for you all to pass!" she pointed at the failed freshmen. "Group study?" Aya said. "Yes!" Riko smirked at her. Aya paused and innocently looked at the coach. "YEhEY!" she shrieked hugging the coach suddenly and falling on the floor. "Aya?" "I've never been to a study session before! It's so exciting!" she squealed with a smile. "That's a great idea, but where do we study?" Junpei agreed with Riko and asked for the venue. Aya shot her hand straight up. "My house! We can study there!" she volunteered. "It's settled then, we're having a group study!" Riko stated.
LATER ON.
"Nii-san!" Aya called as she opened their front door with the Seirin team behind her. "Nii-san!" she called again and saw her brother in a sporting outfit about to go. "Aya, welcome home" he greeted her. "Nii-san, me and my team's going to have a group study! Can we do it here?" she asked smiling. "Sure Aya, welcome to our home" Yamato did a slight bow welcoming Seirin. "Konbawa, I hope we're not disturbing anyone" Riko replied politely doing the same gesture. "It's okay, we're the only ones who live here anyway" Yamato sang putting his hand behind his head. "Anyway, I'll do a quick jog around the block, I'll be back before dinner" he said and went out the door. He noticed Tetsuya who just removed his shoes at the front door. "Uh, Konbawa" Tetsuya bowed at him then looked at him with his emotionless blue eyes. "K-Konbawa" he stammered as Tetsuya proceeded inside. He took one last glance at the phantom and went outside. "Wow, Aya, you're place is really nice" Riko complimented scanning the building. "Thanks, it's just me and my brother here, come let's study in my room" she lured them to her room and closed the door after every member was in. "All right! Let's start the study session!" Riko piped fist pumping.
