It was already the second quarter, going to the second half where Seirin's on lead, because of their continous scoring. The opponent so far, hasn't been doing their dirty tricks on them, leaving them wondering.
"Another score!!" the Seirin bencher cheered, after Taiga did another dunk. Seirin is now 14 points ahead 14 points ahead from Kirisaki Daichi, but Hanamiya doesn't seem to mind because he kept smiling evilly, making Teppei suspicious.
'What's up with his smiling?' Teppei thought, looking at Hanamiya. The coach called a time-out as both of the teams returned to their benches to be greeted by a smiling Aya, who handed them bottles and fresh towels.
"Keep up the good work mina!!!" she beamed, planting smiles on their faces. "Arigatou, Aya-chan!" they chorused, Taiga and Tetsuya, blushing at the purple head. Aya smiled back and noticed the players suddenly turn pale.
They were looking at the seats making Aya's head turn to see that they were looking at Akashi and her brother. "Why are you looking at them, senpais?" she asked then turned back to the players. They shook their head and took a seat at the bench to rest.
"Oi, Hanamiya, the point gap's starting to widen! What's your plan now!?" Yamazaki, Hanamiya's teammate shouted at him in annoyance. Hanamiya remained silent and glanced at the Seirin bench. "What are you looking at now?!" he looked at where Hanamiya was looking.
"Hanamiya, what's your plan?" Furuhashi inquired, taking a step forward.
"I've already chosen my target" Hanamiya answered.
"What?" his teammate wondered. He just smirked and replied. "I'm going to make her play."
...
The match continued as the players returned to the court. Taiga was the last one and Hanamiya was still in his position near their benches. Taiga bent down to tie his shoe lace and heard an intimidating voice. "I've heard you want to beat the Generation of Miracles?"
His eyes narrowed as it moved to look at Hanamiya who had an evil smirk.
"Well you can't beat them, you're too weak." the voice became evil and harsh. Taiga assumed that it was Hanamiya as he yelled at him. "Shut up!" he caught everyone's attention. "You're too weak Kagami, you'll never beat them."
Taiga marched towards Hanamiya as Aya and the other bench players with their coach went to him. "Taicchi! Are you okay??" Aya, placed her hand on Taiga's back. Her voice was blurry from Taiga's hearing because all he can hear is Hanamiya's voice.
"You'll lose to us, weakling." Taiga was shaking with anger.
"TAICCHI!" Aya screamed and slapped Taiga. He somehow regained his focus again and blinked at her. "Get yourself together! Don't let him manipulate you!" she scolded, with a hint of worry on her expression and voice.
"G-Gomenasai..." Taiga stuttered then looked at Hanamiya who was still smirking. 'Damn... I let him get into me...' "Yosh! Ikuzu!" he marched back to the court.
"That was close..." Riko said, glancing at Hanamiya who joined his team on court. "If Aya didn't slap Kagami-kun, he would've..."
Teppei glared at Hanamiya taking his place behind him for he was the on guarding him. "What's with that glare?"
"Shut up you!" Teppei hissed. "Don't you dare hurt my teammates with your dirty tricks!" Hanamiya laughed at him mockingly. He turned to Teppei with a sadistic look. "You didn't even see me do anything," he mocked, enraging Teppei more. "Curse you!"
"Whoa! That was close!" Yamato whistled, putting his hand above his eyes, referring to Taiga. He leant on the bar watching the game to continue. "Hey Aka..."
"What is it senpai?" Akashi asked, his eyes focused on the game.
"If something happens at one of the players, do you think Aya will stubbornly play?" was Yamato's questioned, his eyes also not leaving the court. Akashi sighed with his eyes closed and reopened. "Honestly, that's what I'm scared at..."
"What?"
"If something happens to her teammates. There's no stopping her in playing against the opponent," Akashi explained. "No matter what you tell her, it'd be useless."
"I know..."
"Still, she was just discharged earlier. I won't allow her to play."
"But how on earth, will you do that?"
"I really don't know..."
"Curse you..." Riko shot her head at the purple head who was glaring at Hanamiya in rage. "I won't let him hurt them!" the Seirin coach was shocked at Aya's personality. It was the total opposite of her normal attitude. "Aya-chan..." "Coach" "Yes?" "If something happens..." she paused. "I'll play no matter what," Riko widened her eyes as Aya marched towards the bench.
"A-Aya-chan?"
