Chapter 87
Bennie and the Jets - Elton John
QOTD: What chapter has been your favorite from this book so far???
Mine was Chapter 52!!
(I'll be commenting back! Love you guys hope you enjoy!)
I rolled over and tried opening my eyes. I was freezing cold so I pulled up my blanket. I snuggled up closer to the warm body next to me and fell back asleep.
When I woke up again it was because of knocking and footsteps. I turned my head and saw Kian wasn't there. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I got up but it was really cold without my blanket so I drapped it over my shoulders.
I walked down the hall and saw Kian standing at the door talking to someone. I couldn't really make out who the person was because Kian was so tall. I walked over a little more and froze when I saw who it was.
"Look I don't think you should be here." Kian says holding back Connor.
"Why the hell not?! I came here for what I need." He yelled back at him. He pushed the arms off his chest and saw me standing there.
"Real cute." He said sarcastically as he looked between both of us. He was wearing a black hoodie and the jeans from last night. He hair was a mess and I could tell he was still a little drunk.
I couldn't speak. I stood there not being able to bear the fact that he's here. I tightened the blanket around me and looked back at Kian for support. He gave me an apologetic look.
"Where are my keys?" Connor says as he barges into the house.
Right. His keys. Of course he didn't come back for me. That is what I expected. I wanted him to leave me alone. I just don't understand why I feel so disappointed he didn't ask for forgiveness. I walk over to the coffee table and pick up the keys.
"Here" My voice cracked and sounded so dry. I needed water.
He grabbed the keys from me and never made eye contact. He shook his head as he walked out the door. Kian slammed the door and just like that he was gone for good.
"How did he know you were here?" Kian asked. I look away from the door and turned my focus back to Kian standing tall by the door.
"I have no idea." I shrug and move to sit in the couch, still clutching on to the blanket.
"Hey how about I make us some coffee?" Kian suggest. I smile and nod.
This is why I love Kian. He won't question me further and knows when I don't want to talk about something. He's also the best listener. I couldn't ask for a better friend.
He's honestly the sweetest and most humble guy you'll come across once you get to know him. He's all lanky and tall but has the most cutest brown eyes and best smile. Did I mention he sings?
Total package for a girl really. For the next 2 days I was living on Kian's clothes and his coffee. I didn't even give it a second thought about going back to the apartment to get some of my things. I had no make up on and my face looked so washed out from feeling sick.
It wasn't until Kian and I decided on stopping by so I could grab a few thing. He assured me it would be fine and we could be like spies. Ricky decided to stay behind and make dinner. He was actually being really understanding about the whole situation. I couldn't ask for better friends.
"So are we just going to wait out here until he leaves?" I say once Kian parks the car.
"Well you do have an extra key to the apartment don't you?" He asks and I check in my bag to make sure I do.
