Oh, Ms Believer - Twenty One Pilots
Quesadilla - Walk the Moon 🌙
Summer you're so fucking close ☀
It was Tuesday so that meant internship. I woke up early to take my morning jog and healthy breakfast. Little did I know I was running way to late. I liked being a few minutes early but now I was going to be 10 minutes late. I showered quickly and threw on my outfit. Speeding to work I got there before Susan even noticed I was late.
I had grown to like Susan. She worked in the front and was Kimberley's best friend. She'd always tease me about how OCD I can be when it came to being here on time and having everything organized. So I had tried to avoid seeing her because I didn't want to here her jokes about how I finally messed up and came late. She was sweet but blunt at times as well. She was older and mature either way.
I did my errands all noon until lunch. I realized I didn't bring any lunch seeing I totally forgot. I texted Connor to bring me some left over pizza. I made sure we left a whole other box so we can reheat for today. We mingled and laughed the rest of the day. Until night time came along and I asked him where he stormed off. I heard he went to his father's and stayed there. Warming my hear hearing he's growing closer to him. He got worried when I explained to him everything from that night as well. Hugging me tighter and saying how crazy we were but how okay he was with it.
I loved Connor but we had to try and do something about the way this relationship was going. I just decided if I tried then maybe he would come around and try it out as well. The last thing I want to do is completely change him. I just think it would be better off if I help him get rid of his bad habits. I mean of course he got the whole sleeping around and partying every weekend down. But I guess this is the crazy boy I fell in love with.
I tried calling my mother but I got sent to voicemail each time. I never apologized to her. Even if it killed me I knew it was the right thing to do. I just wish she wouldn't be so picky and realize that nothing going to change between Connor and I. But wishing is going to do anything. I did my best to ignore it but I'm waiting for my mother to be happy for me. Or at least just leave it. My whole noon being filled with ridiculous thoughts I was happy to know Connor would be bringing my lunch soon.
"Hey I'm going out for lunch. Come with?" Colten came into my office and asked.
"No it's okay. I have my own lunch, but thanks !" I said to him. He nodded and closed the door behind him. I sighed and cleared up my desk. Filing back the paper and tiding up I waited for Connor.
"Boo!" Connor came in with a plate and pizza on top. My stomach growling at the sight of food.
"Thank god you're here. I was going to start eating that plant" I joked getting up and walking towards him.
"Oh no. This food is mine. You can still go eat it." He said pulling the plate away. I scowled at him and he laughed. "I'm kidding" he kissed my forehead.
I grabbed the plate and took the plastic off throwing it in the trash can. I placed it in the small microwave and heated it up. "So this your office? Nice" Connor looked around the walls and decorations. " Yeah I was glad I didn't get stuck running around with only a small little shelf to call mine" I giggled lightly. Connor picked up the flower and smelled it putting it back quickly after cringing.
"It's fake smart one" I made fun of him and his lack of knowing about flowers. He stuck his tongue out at me childishly and I rolled my eyes playfully turning back to the pizza. I took it out and placed it on top of the small microwave. Immediately eating the pizza.
