**ROXANNE'S POV**

It's been a few months, and Brian and Jane are really taking a liking to each other. Roger and I are also growing very close, especially since A Day At The Races was released. Both of our hearts have softened since I arrived here. I'm starting to expect a marriage proposal from him in the near future.

"Do you really think Roger Taylor wants to settle down?" asks Jane as we walk around London.

"Why not?" I answer. "I think he really loves me, and I really love him."

"But he's a rockstar. And he's not a softie like Brian and Deaky. Just... don't get your hopes up."

"Whatever," I sigh.

I see a golden-haired man jogging toward us. Roger. "Hello, girls."

"Hey, Rog," I say. I notice he has a mischievous grin on his face.

"Have any plans tonight?" he questions.

"Um, no. Why?"

His smile widens. "I want to have dinner with you."

"Any particular reason?"

"Why can't I spend an evening with my girlfriend?" he replies. "Does eight work for you?"

"Sure. Bye." I kiss him, then Jane and I drive back home to make me look nice.

"Holy shit," I mutter. My jaw falls nearly to my chest. Jane made me gorgeous.

"You look beautiful. If Roger wasn't planning on proposing earlier, he definitely will now."

I can't stop staring at the woman blinking back at me in the mirror. My hair is in a sophisticated up-do. My blue eyes are complimented with glittery eyeshadow and perfectly applied eyeliner. My lips look fuller than usual with a beautiful dark red lipstick. The color of my sparkling dress matches my lips.

"Hello?" Jane teases, shaking me. "It's almost eight."

We leave her room to find Freddie, Brian, and John grinning like idiots. They must all be in on Roger's proposal.

"Have a wonderful time tonight," Brian tells me.

"We all know you will." Freddie winks.

"Don't spoil it!" I hear John whisper.

"Don't worry, I know what's gonna happen," I say.

Jane tears up and hugs me, kissing me on both cheeks. "My best friend is gonna get married."

Roger comes downstairs in a slim black suit and tie. The corners of his lips rise. "You look lovely."

During dinner, a million thoughts fill my brain. I realize it's a little early to be getting married. We've only been going out for about five months. But we really, really love each other.

When we leave, Roger sits me down on a bench. It's cold, so he wraps his jacket around my shoulders.

"Did you have a good time?" he asks hopefully.

"Yeah, I did."

We sit in silence, Roger lighting a cigarette, me staring at the ground. I can see him biting his lip anxiously. Even when he's a nervous wreck, he's very hot.

"Roxanne?" he says, his voice cracking.

"Yes?" My heart feels like it was about to pound its way out of my chest.

"I know we've only been with each other for five months, but I'm afraid I can't wait any longer to ask you something. Roxanne, I love you. I've had such a good time learning about your life. I feel like I need you to be even closer to me, so... will you marry me? It doesn't have to be soon, but I-"

I don't even think about me answer. I shut him up by nodding and pressing my face right against his. I kiss him hard, but lovingly. I can't stop kissing him and hugging him. When we pull away, the first thing we talk about is planning the wedding.
