The first Wolfstar "I love you" encounter was spoken on Remus' behalf.
It was while Sirius was on one of his rants, this time it was about werewolf rights and "how come we're allowed to be gay but you're not allowed to be a harmless fucking cinnamon roll. It's fucking ludicrous, LUDICROUS I TELL YOU."
At the end of this sentence Remus laughed and shook his head, muttering "God, I love you Sirius Black."
Sirius began to continue talking as if he'd not said anything at all until he actually registered what was said, at which point he added "I've been waiting for you to say that for the last three years."
