You could always tell when Remus was enjoying a book because, as weird as it seems, he could hold a conversation with you while reading and every now and then he would just look up from the book as if realising something for the first time then look back down without a word. If Remus was enjoying a book he could put it down mid sentence and pick it up hours later without a second of confusion.
It generally took Remus around 2-3 days to finish a book unless he wasn't enjoying a book, then he would finish it within a few hours, not putting it down or communicating with anyone, he would ignore everything and everyone until he finished the book because even if he absolutely hated the storyline he would never leave a book half read.
