McGonagall knew everything about Remus, like, everything, too much everything. She knew Remus had feelings for Sirius before Remus knew he had feelings for Sirius. She knew when a full moon had been particularly bad or when he needed time to himself, away from the school work and people surrounding him, she knew when he needed chocolate and when he just needed someone to talk to, because sometimes, even his best friends were just too much.
McGonagall also knew that Remus was really a little shit and the mastermind behind most complex pranks, she only made him a prefect because lord knows Frank Longbottom would scare the first years with enthusiasm.
