Okay so this was requested by JustinFTLouis, which is the above photos. I never really explained how I did my Christmas Icons, so I'll do that now. They're very basic and easy, so they shouldn't take you that long.

Here's how to get the border:

i. Open a color of your choice as the background (i recommend the square size) and then open the PNG of your person as the foreground.

ii. for this PNG, go to filter > contrast and turn it all the way down. Then go to the colors and turn them all of the way up to get white, or you can play around with it and get another color of your choice. Merge.

iii. Open the foreground as the same PNG and place it where you want over the white border. Save.

Okay, so if you'd like to add another thing with it, let's say something like a crown or a hat, you can either get the image I have above or search on Google for other things. The possibilities are endless.

i. Open image as background and then the PNG as the foreground.

ii. If there's a white background, either mask around it or you can press screen to get it to go away, but it will be transparent.

iii. Move it wherever you'd like and merge. Then save.

I hope this wasn't too hard, but you can literally do so much with this. You can find a lot of PNG's on google or tumblr even that you can add and make your own customized icon.
