Superimpose
i. Open your image as the background and a gradient as the foreground (add on). Put the image on overlay or soft light and adjust as desired (color, brightness, etc.) and then merge and save image.
ii. Upload the image you just saved as the foreground and put it on multiply. Use the soft brush with the softness turned all of the way up to brush out the face so it's not so dark. Merge.

iii. Open the same gradient as before as the foreground again. Put the image on screen and use the linear gradient to get what you desire. Merge and open in phonto when done. Add title and filter (I used Chrome on Phonto) and then you're done!
