Coughs and rings

Josie's POV

I woke up earlier than Nathan this morning. I'm making him breakfast right now. Jay asked me to help with something, I don't know what it is but whatever. I heard some sloppy footsteps coming towards the kitchen. A pair of strong arms snaked around my waist. It's Nathan, he still has the smell of sex on him.

"Nath, go shower you smell like sex" I moaned. His head resting on my shoulder

"How do you know it's me?" He asked, his morning voice, deep.

"Because you smell like sex and you just admitted you're you" I smirked, flipping the pancake

"I'm gonna go shower then" he pecked my shoulder blade and walked back to the bedroom to shower. I placed the neatly done pancakes in the table and got out the kettle. While I waited for the tea to brew I called Jay to see what he wants. It ran 5 times before he answered. Probably lost his phone again

"Hey" (Jay)

"Hi, what is it that you need from me?" (J)

"Erm, I'll pick you up and tell you on the way. I'm actually on my way to pick you up so be ready, see you in 15" (Jay)

Oh great. He hung up on me. I rushed to the bedroom to get ready. I guess I won't be eating this morning. I threw on a light brown jumper and black yoga pants and slipped on some running shoes. I put my hair up in a messy but not so messy bun. I walked in the restroom without knocking.

"Gonna join me?" Nathan asked, popping his head through the shower. I looked at him through the mirror.

"Nope" I popped the 'P'. He frowned

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Out with Jay, he needs help with something" I answered before sticking the toothbrush in my mouth. He returned to shower while I brushed my teeth. I spit out the toothpaste and rinsed my mouth. The door bell rang

"Bye Nath" I shouted running down to answer the door. Jay was on the other side looking nervous

"Hey what's up" I asked.

"Err, tell you on the way there" he answered. He pulled me to his car. I was pushed inside, Jay got in on the other side. The whole car ride I was hoping I wasn't getting kidnapped.

"Jay? Where are we going?" I asked, breaking the silence

"I want to propose to maiken and I need your help" he blurted.

"You want me to do it for you or..." I trailed off

"No, I need your help on what ring she likes" he said looking at me. He has pretty eyes. Oh yeah

"Well you couldn't tell me that before I thought I was being kidnapped?" I chuckled. He grinned shyly

"Sorry" he apologized

"It's fine" I smiled. We parked in front of a jewelry store. We walked inside of the store

"Hello" the sales lady chirped

"Hi" we chorused

"How may I help you?" She asked

"I'm looking for an engagement ring" Jay replied. The lady oh'd and smiled

"Well what are you looking for? We have many" she threw her hands up in the air showing all the glass containers of beautiful engagement rings.

"She likes pink" I told the sales lady

"Oh ok, we have pink, how about this one" she showed us a big pink diamond in the middle. I cringed at it.

"Erm no" Jay shook his head.
