Part Thirty One

LUKES POV

There is this guy named Jake. I recently started to have some feelings for him. He asked me to the dance even when we haven't talked before really. Ever since we have texted everyday and talked. Mikey and I are still talking but since I'm a bit more busy I sometimes don't answer him. Yeah I mean I feel bad but Jake is usually hanging out with me, so I don't want to be texting Mikey while him being there. Yeah I do like Mikey still but I like Jake too.

Mikey: hi Luke

Mikey: you probably won't answer

Mikey: but can we talk?

Mikey: please Luke

Me: hi sorry what's up

Mikey: I'm not sure. Luke you've changed. Since you met Jake you ignore my texts some days and Calum tells me you act different. Also you don't say I love you anymore. When you don't say it, it makes me feel like you don't like me like I like you anymore. Luke is something going on?

Me: I'm sorry. Me and Jake have been together a lot. We always hang out that's why I sometimes miss your texts. Calum barely even talks to me in our class we have together. And I do like you still. Just since I like Jake a bit it makes me feel weird to say I love you back

Mikey: Luke let me just ask you something. Do you love/like me still?

Me: I do still like you.

Mikey: are you sure?

Me: yes I'm sure.

Mikey: I have another question. Do you want me to stop saying I love you to you?

Me: no...

Mikey: just asking. Why?

Me: I want to know your still here and won't disappear

Mikey: but how do I know you won't do that if you and Jake become more then friends?

Me: because I'll always be here for you

Mikey: okay...

I read these texts over and over. I do still like him, maybe not love as much as before. I also don't love Jake I just like him. Not as much as Mikey, but I do like him. Sometimes I do regret not answering or not saying I love you, but then I think and I don't. There's 7 weeks until the dance Jake is taking me to. I hope Mikey won't get mad if something happens with us that makes us more than friends. He said he's happy if I am. He will be happy if I am, right?
