CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Crystal blue eyes that almost appeared transparent in the sun, winced as the sunlight bled through the blinds. These globular organs belonged to Hope Mikaelson who had just woken up, alone in her bed. She looked around her dorm, the mess she made had been cleaned and there was no trace of Adrian in there, not even the shirt she noticed that he had taken off and tossed to the floor when she had gotten up to get a glass of water at three in the morning. She couldn't help but think that he heard her the night before when she admitted to reading and stealing his journal, the worst thing that could happen was that he decided to ignore her and start hanging out with Lizzie Saltzman, again.

Hope sighed, she rose from her bed and started to get ready for the day, she wasn't planning on walking around with him on her mind the whole day. She threw her pajamas in the hamper and started to get dressed in her uniform. The bedroom door suddenly flew open and the girl looked up, shocked as Adrian Aquilo entered the moment she stood half-naked in only her brassiere and skirt.

The boy's eyes widened once they fell on Hope and he was quick to turn around and shut the door behind him as he left the room, "Sorry!" The girl stood frozen in her room, bright red flush staining her cheeks. Once she came to the realization of what happened, she burst out laughing.

When her laughter had finally died down, the girl reached for her shirt and sweater, putting them on before she searched for her shoes, "You can come in now"

Adrian entered the room again, balancing a silver tray in one hand while closing the door with the other one, "I didn't wanna wake you so I went down to breakfast on my own but I brought you a croissant and a milkshake that Penelope gave me. It's not a Peanut Butter Blast but it has whipped cream on the bottom" He set the tray down on the ottoman in front of the female's bed.

"You brought me Penelope's milkshake?" The auburn-haired girl questioned as she sat down on the furniture in front of her bed.

"No" The male answered, "I brought you a milkshake that she bought me"

Hope looked skeptical as she brought the milkshake up to her nose to smell it, she then furrowed her brows, "Why would she do that? Did she poison it?"

The boy slumped down on the bed that had just been made, resting his head on the mountain of pillows with closed eyes, "Believe it or not, Hope, I do have friends and friends like to do nice things for each other"

The girl couldn't help but smile at his words, not at the fact that he was talking about friends but at the fact at how he always spoke with such certainty, so sure about things without doubting them once.
