I walked  into the arena, passing Shea with a soft smile. She smiled back, it had been a few days since the accident and Shea wasn't allowed to start back riding again, much to her disappointment. 

I entered the arena slowly, going to the mounting block and mounting up into the saddle. I was riding Lux today as Cai seemed fidgety around the other horses so I put him out into the paddock earleir this morning. 

"Hey." I heard a voice say and I turned around to see May walking beside me as I walked around the arena with Lux. A smile tugs at the corner of my lips, "Sorry we didn't end up having lunchw ith you May, there were uh- complications." I laugh and she shrugs, "It's fine."

We continued to talk for a bit until we were called into the middle, May and I both went to the middle, lining up next to each other. I looked at our coach, it wasn't Mr. Lee, "Where's Mr. Lee?" I questioned and the older man stared at me, giving me a cold stare, "He's sick, I'm Peter," He introduced himself, pacing in front of us slowly, like a snail.

"Today you'll be doing dressage." he begins to elborate before continuing, "Also, we have a new member of the Varsity squad, Shane O'brein." I my head looked to th door as I watched Shane walk into the arena riding an andulusian mare, who had a beautiful white coat and perfect stature and build.

"Like what you see, Sweetheart?" He said, making me snap from my daze. A smirk tugged at my lips, "In your dreams, I was admiring your horse." A scoff follows my words before Peter began reading out the order for the dressage.

Everyone seemed to do perfectly, May making a few mistakes with her cues though.

"Okay Sage you're up." I nod toward Peter, heading to the center at a working trot, before saluting.

From X we proceeded into a working trot before tracking right, then a circleto the right at B, making sure I sat in the saddle and got the correct diametre, 15m. We continued with working trot through B, A and K, changing rein allowing Lux a few lengthened strides in a rising trot, once we reached M we went back to a working trot. At E we circled left, keeping a 15m diametre, me sitting in the saddle. We went back to a working trot through E, K and F, lengthening my reins for a few strides before circling to the right at a 20m diametre instead, showing a clear release of my inside rein for 2- 3 strides over the centreline, "Good girl," I cooed softly.

At C we went to a medium speed walk, then from M - V I changed my rein into a free walk, lengthening my reins to allow her to stretch forward and down, then from V we continued at a medium walk, and done a piaffe, then continued.

After completeing the rest of the dressage course I saluted and walked back to the group, small clap being given, "Good job Sage, just remember to use softer hands on the circles," Peter said, patting Lux's shoulder as we passed by, getting back in line.

"That was really good," Shane said, leaning over to whisper, sending a small shiver down my spine, "Thanks." I say with a soft smile, biting my lip softly.

"Don't bite your lip." He says, his adam's apple bobbing out of what I thought could be nervousness. I shied away, a smile threatening to plaster across my face as my lips twitched upwards.

After the lesson I untacked and washed down Lux before putting her out into the paddock and bringing Cai in. I quickly went back to my room, changing into black jeans with ripped knees, a black crop top the says, 'you're my sun, my moon and all my stars', I then tie a flannel t-shirt around my hips then tie my strawberry blonde hair up into a ponytail, a few strands hanging loosely down.

I slipped on my black timbers, then grabbing my purse with my money card and card key before exiting out and meeting up with Shea downstairs, who convinced me to come to an off-campus party, "Happy?" I say, quirking a brow and she nods, "You look hot, boys are gonna be falling at your feet Sage." She said, eyeing my outfit and body.

I cough and she looks up, "Let's go, the boys are giving us a ride."

I look at her, "Boys?"

"Yeah, Shane, Jax and Jordan are coming." A toothy smile popped up on her face, she purposely done this. 

I watched as a white mercedes pulled up and I looked at it, Shea opened the door, "Get in."

"Fine." I huff for what felt like the hundereth time this week, jumping into the car which had white and beige interior.

"Hey girls." Jordan says, looking to Shea, I could see her and him made up.

"Hey Cupcake." Shane said, looking at me with a wink. He sure did like using nicknames. 

I could see Jax's jaw clench before he stepped on the accelerator and I got jolted back in my seat as well as everyone else.
