Jax and I were currently in the student lounge, he was sitting on the black leather couch that was surrounded by bean bags, flowers ad I was sitting in his lap, his hand placed firmly on my waist.

"You ready to go?" Jax whispered in my ear so I could hear him over the loud chattering amongst the other students. You see, it was holiday weekend and I had planned to go to Jax's parent's house with him as mine were on some business trip over in Florida while I was stuck here in the hills.

I nod and we both silently get up and I run upstairs grabbing my bag and heading down to Jax's car.

"Great nine hours in a car with you all the way to LA." I joke as he shoves my things into his boot before opening the door with a laugh, "The feelings mutual."

"I'm home!" Jax yelled into his large spacious house as I stood awkwardly in the hallway. Jax's mother and father greeted him warmly, staring at me as I stood awkwardly, that is until the dogs came running down the hall way.

"St. Bernards!" I yell, my eyes widening as I tackle the dogs to the ground, patting and hugging them. I hear a camera click and I look up to see Jax with his phone in hand, snapping a picture whilst his mother and father stood looking over his shoulder, "Awe Sage you cutie!"

I stand up with an awkward smile, "Sorry I love animals, my names Sage Carter." I introduce myself to his parents and they laugh, "I'm Laine," his mother pulls me in for a hug instead and it takes me a minute to respond before hugging her back.

Then I moved onto his father who shook my hand, "Andrew." he says rather bluntly and I nod, "Lovely to meet you." He has very broad shoulders, green eyes with dark hair that is starting to grey. I guess I know knew where Jax got his looks from.

After settling in we all sat down for dinner, which was my favorite, mac and cheese Jax had placed his hand on my thigh underneath the table, which annoyed me for a bit but then I gave up on trying to push it off. The whole table was silent until Jax's father looked over to me, "So, Sage, what're your intentions with my son?" he questions and I almost choke on my food before regaining myself and shushing Jax as he went to say something.

"My intentions? My intentions are to get through this year, get that scholorship and win, but Jax is the exception because I enjoy his company and he's a fun person to be around." I say and Jax's father looks shocked at my honesty.

"Well okay then, what're you grades like? How long have you been an equestrian? How many men have you dated?"

"Dad!" Jax exclaims and I shush him, "I'm an A grade student in every subject excluding math, I've been riding since before I could walk and I'm on the Varsity team for this year and I've only dated one person that is Jax, now, I'd like to enjoy my macaroni." I say shrugging as Jax's mother, Laine chuckles to herself only to earn a glare from Andrew.

"Fine." he huffs.
