After the events that happened last night I stormed up to my dorm, and I was still yet to sleep.

I had so many thoughts swarming my mind as if they were trying to devour me inside and out. I looked down at my phone, unlocking it as it went off, Haden had went down to check my schedule for me since he was down at the stables early.

haden ; you have tack cleaning duty at 11 with Jax, I might bring you a cookie or something later x

Sage ; okay ... x

I didn't tell Haden or Shea about what happened, but they both knew something was up. I got up from my bed, looking at my attire and shrugging, I could not be bothered to change into riding clothes, plus what I'm wearing isn't too bad.

I had on washed out and ripped skinny jeans with a floral top and a hoodie tied around my waist. I shrug slipping on my riding boots. I hoped Jax wouldn't bring up anything but I had a feeling he would. I grabbed my phone, sending a glare toward Ashley before exiting our room.

My slender fingers slipped away from the handle as I shut it, a gasp escaping my lips as Shane pops in front of my face, waving car keys in my face. I stare at him for a minute, he wanted to go to maccas, "I cant, I've got tack duty." A groan leaves my lips and Shane frowns, pouting.

I giggle softly, "Tomorrow, I promise."

"Fine," he huffs and I softly laugh, my thoughts slipping away as I lean up to kiss him on the cheek, ruffling his now not so perfect quiff.

I wave to him and he waves back and I begin to walk to the stables.

Once I reach them I walk to the tack room, entering reluctantly. I caught a glimpse of Jax and I mutter a colorful choice of words beneath my breath, "Oh... Hi Sage." his voice proved he was nervous, I turned to face him only to see his face was as bright as a tomato. 

"What happened was nothing," I gave him a hard stare and his face started to pale, "I dont have feelings for you." lie. total fucking lie. I had a pull toward Jax but I refused to become one of his booty calls. 

A pained look crosses his face, "But Sage, I-" I cut him off, raising my hand before turning to grab a saddle, "Just don't talk." His next response made me quirk a brow, "Make me."

"Did you just tell me to make you shut up?" he nodded and I rubbed my temples, "You're so infuriating!" I yell, making him chuckle whilst I groaned, polishing the saddle who I recognized as May's. 

Once we finished all of the tack I figured since I was down here I may as well go see Cai and Lux. Without a word I grabbed some treats from the tack room, walking to Cai's stall only to see him sleeping, I stifle a laugh at him and I place an apple on his stall door, making a small sound.

Before you could say Apples Cai was up and had stolen the apple. I laugh at him, kissing his nose softly as he nickered in response. I looked around to see a few people, from the adult riders that came here for riding lessons tacking up their horses.

I walk over one that I saw was having trouble, the lady looked like she was having trouble getting into the saddle.

"Here let me help you." I smile softly, giving her a leg up, "Oh thank you hun, It's been awhile since I've been back in the saddle." I laugh, "I know the feeling, it'll all come back to you, I promise."

With that being said I the made my way over to Lux, feeding her a carrot and giving her a pat, "Good girl."

[ at the cafe ]

I looked up to see the door open and Shane waltz in, looking over to me with a massive smile, "Hey."

He sat down with a thud next to me in the booth and I hand him my cup of hot chocolate, "Awe." he says, taking a sip before wrapping his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into his side. A smile tugs at the corner of my lips, but I had so many thoughts. I'm so confused on who I want, who I need, Jax or Shane? They both made me feel good about myself, but Jax was always a douche and Shane was always so sweet.

He hands me the hot chocolate and I take a sip, "We should go to a beach, I've never been to a beach before." I randomly say and he looks at me, his mouth agape in shock.

"You've never been to a beach?"

"Nope."

"Okay, tomorrow is your day off from riding, yeah?" I take a moment to think before nodding in confirmation, "Yeah."

"We're going to the beach," he winks, and I shy away into his side, hiding my face.

"Do you wanna come sleep in my cabin I've been having trouble sleeping plus I think time away from the devil would be fun." he says, I chuckle at his reference to Ashley, 'the devil' I liked it. That is what she shall be called from now on.

"Sure, Jax won't mind will he?" I say, chewing my lip. I'm guessing he doesn't know what happened in the tack room, I hope it stays that way.

"Nah, you two are cool right?"

"Yeah- yeah, totally." I lie through my teeth, before we both got up after finishing our shared hot chocolate. 

We made our way to his and Jax's dorm, once we were inside I stood, making eye contact with Jax for a second before looking over to Shane who was in only sweats. I try to hide my embarrassment but a blush fills my cheeks, making Jax scoff. Shane doesn't seem to notice but he crawls into his bed.

"Lay down, I don't bite." he laughs softly and I laugh awkwardly, flashing my pearly whites as I go over to his bed, crawling in as his arm slithers around my waist.

Soon I heard his snores and before I could talk with Jax I had drifted off too, my eyes closing shut tightly as darkness consumed me.
