Chapter 4: The Park

Author's POV
Mark and Wendy are on their way to the park. Once they've reached it, both became very hyper.
Wendy: LET'S GO ON THE SWINGS!!
Mark: AND THEN THE BARS!!
Their inner child was very visible.
Wendy sat on the swing and Mark was gently pushing her.
Wendy: I just love going outside and soaking up the cool breeze. It's like I can finally breathe again.
Mark was concerned about the way Wendy said that.
Mark: Are you okay? Did anything happen?
Wendy: Not necessarily. Do you just ever feel sad just just because?
Mark: Like, nothing is bothering you, yet everything seems wrong?
Wendy was surprised he understood her.
Wendy: Yeah and the more you think about it, you just cry.
Mark: Truthfully, I felt like that a lot. Even though I had my brothers and friends, I still felt alone. I thought I was going to feel like again this year, but then I met you.
Wendy looked at Mark and could feel the sincerity.
Wendy: I'm glad I met you, too. We should totally be park buddies! *girly voice*
Mark: Totes! *girly voice* Let's go on the bars now!!
Wendy: You really like the bars, huh?
Mark jumps up to the bar, grips it tight, puts his legs under the bar, and lands on his feet.
Mark: Ta-da~
Wendy: You're such a show off! I can do that too, ya know.
Wendy jumps up to the bar, grips it, puts her legs under the bar, but her hands let go. She lost her grip.
Mark: WENDY!!
Never fear, Mark's here! He quickly catches her and holds her tight.
Mark: Gwaenchanha (Are you okay)?!?!
Wendy: Yeah, I am... Thank you...
Mark: YOU SCARED ME!
Mark releases her to the ground, gently.
Mark: Be careful next time.. Let's just take it easy and lay on the grass.
Mark put his jacket on the grass for Wendy. Wendy thanked him and laid down with him.
She was staring at the stars and noticed how beautiful they looked.
Wendy: The stars are so beautiful tonight.
Mark: Not as beautiful as you.
Wendy didn't know how to react. She could tell he was being honest, he looked dead serious.
Wendy: But I'm not as beautiful as you!
She said, while blushing and giggling. She playfully punched him too.
Mark: OW! That really hurt. *sarcasm*

Wendy's POV
He called me beautiful ..
That's all him, though.

Mark's POV
She really is beautiful..

Author's POV
Meanwhile, Wendy's sisters and friends & Mark's brothers were still at Starbucks.
Jr: So who's that guy? *points to Jin*
Irene: That's Jin!
Jr: Is he Wendy's boyfriend?
Irene: *looks at him like he's gone crazy* no, of course not!
Jr: Is he your boyfriend?
Irene: NO!!
Jr: Okay, good.

Irene's POV
Please tell me I'm not blushing.
Why did he ask if Jin was my boyfriend?
Does he like me?

Jr's POV
He's not Wendy's boyfriend or Irene's.
That's good news for Mark and I. 😏

Author's POV
Yeri finally tagged Bambam.
Bambam: It's about time. I could've just sat there and you still couldn't have tagged me.
Yeri: You're really mean 😕
Bambam saw how hurt she was by his comment.
Bambam: Mianhae (Sorry), Yeri-ah! Please forgive me, I didn't intend it to hurt your feelings.
Yeri: Gwaenchanha (It's okay)!
Seulgi showed JB & Jackson her dancing skills.
Their jaws dropped.
JB: WOOO GO, SEULGI!
Jackson: DAEBAK (Wow)!
Seulgi: Hehe, thank you!
Joy showed her aegyo to Yugyeom.
Joy: I had a dream, I dreamt of a ghost.
Yugyeom: Eotteohge gwiyeoun (How cute)!
Eunji and Youngjae just kept on chatting, while Jin was worried about Wendy.

Jin's POV
I wonder if she's okay.

Author's POV
Jin: Youngjae, can you call Mark and tell Wendy that she should go home soon, since it's dark?
Youngjae: Sure.
Youngjae calls Mark.
-phone call-
Youngjae: Hyung, tell Wendy she needs to go home soon.
Mark: Okay, just bring everyone to the park in about 10 minutes. We can say goodbye and then leave.
Youngjae: Alright, bye!
Mark: Bye!
-call ended-
Youngjae: We're going to go the park in about 10 minutes to pick up Mark and Wendy.
Everyone: Okay!
At the park, Wendy starts to get a little sleepy.
Mark: Should I sing you to sleep?
Wendy: That would be nice..
She closes her eyes and hears an angelic voice.
She thought to herself, Wow he can sing well too. What can he not do?
She got lost into his singing and finally slept.
Mark saw her sleeping and couldn't help but smile.
He caressed her cheek and kissed her forehead.
Mark: Good night, Wendy. Sleep tight!
Mark saw everyone on their way to the grass and so he carried Wendy bridal-style.
Jin came first and Mark placed Wendy carefully on his back.
Soon everyone else came and they said their goodbyes.
Wendy murmured "Don't go, Mark.." while on Jin's back and he got jealous.
Wendy's sisters and Eunji heard it, too.
They were silently screaming because of how much they ship it.
They can't wait to see what happens between them at cheer tryouts!
