*THEA*

Sabi nila pag Monday, boring and just plain too annoying dahil lang natapos ang weekend.

Though I don’t really beg to differ, I have to for this case.

Because the weekends are the ones who will blow my head off and I’ll gladly reach for something that’ll serve as a distraction to the things that are happening on the weekend.

“So now you’re going on avoiding me?” sabi ni Kuya Gab nang mas stop siya sa tapat ng highschool building Monday morning.

I actually arrived on time thanks to Kuya Gab. He went on short cuts to avoid that Monday Rush. I still had about twenty minutes to spare before the classes start.

“I’m not avoiding you.” Sabi ko sa kanya, zipping up my backpack.

“You’re not talking to me either.” Sabi niya.

“I don’t talk much on Monday mornings. Konti na nga lang ang energy ko and talking actually drains those low reserves.”

“Makes sense.” Sabi ni Kuya. “I’ll see you weekend, Bunso.” He says and I kiss him in the cheek bago ako bumaba ng kotse.

Only he has the guts to actually get me annoyed.

“Goodmorning po, Senior.” Bati sa akin ng mga first years habang papasok ako ng building.

“Good Morning too.” Sabi ko. “Better get to class. You’ll be late.”

“Yes, Senior” And they trudge off.

Everyone was busy with their own conversations, probably of gossips and other stuffs that I would probably say irrelevant, or even things that might probably gross me out.

Of course, what would be new? Somehow, I think the Alcantara family had been making me conceited. Of course none of them would paying attention to me. It’s been like that for four years already.

I went to my chair at the back, ignoring everything.

“Goodmorning!” masayang bati ni Jethro.

“Oyahoo Gozaimashita.” Sabi ko sa kanya, setting my bag down sa upuan na katapat nung sa kanya.

“Ha?”

“Hi.” Sabi ko, smiling and then sitting down.

Tapping play on Imagine Dragons, I leaned back the arm chair ko.

“Hindi ka ba manghihingi ng mga yearbook photos?”
Nilakasan ko ng kaunti yung volume. “Nope.”
