Chapter 9 - At the phone...

Sophie's POV

I opened my eyes and saw Jay asleep next to me. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to put on the same clothes from yesterday. When I walked into the room, Jay was already awake, he smiled as soon as he saw me. "Good Morning" he said and I smiled and replied "Morning". "How's your ankle?" he asked and I shrugged. "It's fine, I guess, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to check it out" I replied and he nodded.

"So, what are you doing today?" he asked finally getting out of the bed. "I guess I'm just gonna stay at home watching TV or reading some magazines" I said and he shook his head, I lifted my eyebrow. "What about going with us to the studio? Today's our last day of rehearsals before going on tour in two days" he said. "What am I gonna do there? I'm useless now" I said and he smiled. "You're not useless, You'll be able to dance in a couple of weeks, come on, you can't stay the whole day at home, plus, I wanna spend some time with my best friend after six years without her" he said and I smiled and shook my head. "Please Soph! Come on!" he begged like a child asking for some candy at the store. "Ok ok" I said chuckling. "Yes!" he yelled. "I'm going home now, and this time by myself" I said before he had the chance to say something. He just frowned and nodded. "We'll pick you up then" he said. "Ok" I sighed.

I walked out of the house and took a taxi back home. When I got there, I opened the door and went straight to my room. I plugged my ipod in my speakers and put some music. I laid down on my bed and relaxed a bit. I came back to earth as soon as My phone went off next to me. I picked it up and saw I had a text.

From Jay: 'We'll be there in half an hour, get ready ;) xx'

I smiled as I read it and then got up and took a quick shower. I put on a pink summer dress with brown belt on, some flats, and I did two braids on each side so I wouldn't had hair all over my face, at the back my hair was all wavy, so I left it like that. I put on natural makeup, with a light peach lipstick on. While I was watching my reflection on the mirror a horn sounded from outside. I looked out my window and saw the boys van, I grabbed my bag and keys and walked outside the House where Jay was waiting for me by the door of the van. I got into it and Jay followed me and sat next to me.

Ten minutes later we got to the studio. "Come on" Jay said smiling. We got to the boys rehearsal room and they started rehearsing right away. From "All time low", to their hit single "Glad you came", seriously, after all these years it never got old. They were so good, especially live. I felt like going to the restroom, so I went. After I walked out, while I was walking down the hall I spotted the door of the room where all the dancers rehearse. I peeked through the window of the door. I knew the routine they were doing even though I couldn't hear the song. While I was admiring every move they did, I felt someone behind me...

Jay's POV

I walked out of the room to get something to drink, and that's when I saw Sophie standing outside on the hall watching the dancers rehearsing. I noticed she was almost on the breakup point, she could start crying in a matter of seconds. I stood right behind her. I wrapped my arms slowly around her waist and rested my head on hers. "I should be there" she said. "I should be there dancing, but instead I'm here with this fucking twisted ankle" she said and I held her tight. "Soph, things like that happen all the time, come on, standing here watching them won'd make you any good" I said and she nodded.

We walked back to our rehearsing room. The hours went on, and soon enough it was time to go home. We were walking down the hall, just me and Soph. This was my chance. I should tell her now. Come on Bird, don't be such an idiot and tell her already. "Soph" I managed to say. "Yeah?" she said turning her gaze to me. "Can I tell you something?" I asked shyly. "Sure, what is it?" she asked. "Before I left six years ago, I wa---" "SOPHIE!" I got cut off by the shouts of the girls. They all gather around Soph and hugged her. "Hey girls" Sophie said smiling.

"I'll wait for you at the car" I told her and she nodded. "Sorry" she mouthed and I shrugged. I turned around and started walking to the exit. "How's your ankle?" "We've missed you so much" I heard all the girls telling her. I walked out and got into the van. I let out a frustrated sigh. "What's up with you?" Max asked. "Nothing, I'm just... Tired" I said thinking about my answer. "Okay" he said still not so sure about it. Minutes later Sophie came out and got into the van.

We went to our flat and sat on the living room. "I'm gonna get some water" Sophie said before going to the kitchen. "Have you talked to her?" Nathan Asked me and I shook my head. "I tried today, but we got interrupted" I said. "Well, go on now, she's alone, and we'll be here" he said. I nodded and got up. While I was walking to the kitchen, I heard Sophie talking, maybe she was at the phone. "I've missed you" she said. I hide behind a wall so she couldn't see me. "Can I see you on the weekend? It's been a while" she said. Was she dating someone? Did she have a boyfriend? Who was she talking to? "Alright, we can have dinner there on saturday" I heard her. "Alright, I love you, bye" she said before hanging up.

I walked to my bedroom and shove my keys on the bed. She had a boyfriend, how could I've been so stupid? Of course she had one. I heard a light knock on the door before it opened and Sophie walked into the room. "Hey, the boys told me you were here" she said smiling. Her smile calmed down right away. "Yeah, I was just looking for something" I said and she nodded. "So, abour earlier, what was the thing you wanted to tell me?" she asked and I shook my head. "Uhm, nothing, nothing important, I even forgot about it" I said. "Are you sure it's nothing?" she asked and I nodded.

"Well, Ok then, I should go now" she said and I nodded. "It's getting late so... I better get going" she said and I hugged her "bye" I said. She walked out of the room and I could hear her saying goodbye to the boys...

A/N: Hello! Sorry for the long wait and the short chapter! :/ but I hope you like it! Aww What do you think it'll happen now? jay's going on tour, he didn't tell her how he feels, and now that phonecall... Oh God :/

Well, just wanted you to know that next week I'm starting college, on thursday to be more especific, and that means I won't have too much time to write... I'm gonna be updating like two times a week maybe... Or even less... Sorry...

But, in other news! I have ideas for two new fanfics... I'll be telling you more about it with the time... Maybe next month you'll get the plot...
