"As long as you notice, I'm hoping that you'll keep your heart open I'll keep mine open too. So, so I would rather take you aside, tell you what's on my mine but you, you just keep it inside rather, tell me that you're alright..."- The Neighbourhood, 'Prey'

☆☆☆

It's been two months since I met Declan, two months since that hot and steamy moment in a public bathroom two months since Richard told me he wasn't into me and two months of him avoiding me like the plague and a month since Declan and I started going out... whirlwind romance...not really my scene but it just happened.

I think he and I are more about the wilder passion in life that the subtle I love you and I miss you we're beyond classic romance we're rustic and urban with a little cheesy. He never fails to put a double meaning into most of the things he says and his eyes are the most compelling things I've ever set my eyes on except for Richard's but I haven't fully experienced him but he doesn't want me so I will experience Declan instead.

Thankfully it has also been a month since my family moved into their own space because I hate having guests over family or not it's just so strange for me. Sharing a room is strange.

It had to go.

They simply had to go.

Declan spent the night with me and I'm up first and here I am looking at his sleeping form, he looks more relaxed than ever, I love the view and the subtle rays of light from my window are doing his hair a huge favour.

He looks beautiful.

It's so funny how many times I have seen and thought of how beautiful he is. He has his arm around my waist and our faces are inches apart seeing him up close I feel like I have the opportunity to memorise every line, dip and plane on his face the way his jaw is carved beyond modesty. I trace with my forefinger the outline of his warm skin.

"Good morning babe." Declan says groggily.

Babe.

I feel like I'm in high school all over again when Christopher Serrano and I finally spoke after my years of crushing on him. The butterflies I'm feeling right now.

I can't help but smile.

"Hey." I whisper to him.

He smiles a lazy smile. "Hi." He whispers back, his brown-green eyes on me. "How did you sleep?" He asks.

"Good, you?" I answer.

He pulls me closer to him, as if we weren't already close enough. "As long as it's with you it was amazing." Declan says.

"Do you need some toast to go with that cheese?" I laugh.

He laughs. "I'm thinking more of the blazing berry in your Spanish cake." He says smugly, sending a wink in my direction.

"You're such a dirty minded pig." I say, palming his face.

"I'm your pig." He says muffled and kisses my palm.

I release myself from his grip. "Never been a fan of pigs unless they were cooked, marinated and served." I call back to him as I head to my bathroom to brush my teeth.

I feel a pair of arms attach themselves to me around my waist. "You could marinate this pork sausage with some Spanish sauce..." A deep voice flows into my ears. His voice already has me getting putty in his arms.

Declan is a walking aphrodisiac that spouts sexual innuendos. The offer is tempting though but sadly adulthood calls.

"I think I'll pass, I have a meeting today." I tell him.
