*Danielle's POV*

I had gotten up early to start on breakfast for everybody when the screams distracted me.

"Walkers in D!" Glenn yelled.

I looked behind me to see Rick running over and yelling, "What about C?"

"I don't know!" Glenn yelled back.

"Clear. We locked the gate to the tombs. Hershel's on guard." Sasha told him.

"It ain't a breach." Daryl told him as he ran by.

"We followed the plan." Sasha told him.

I got my gun out of its holster and followed the others into the cellblock. I started clearing people out while the others started kill walkers. I couldn't keep track of where Daryl was but I could tell where he had been by the arrows until the chaos was clear. I looked up to see him going up the stairs to the catwalk and I followed right behind him. He turned his head and held his finger to his lips telling me to keep quiet so I nodded. "Glenn, down." Daryl told him.

Glenn ducked some and Daryl fired the arrow. We walked over and Rick moved the sheet to see who it was.

"Oh, it's Patrick." Daryl said.

"I liked Patrick, he was always so polite. He wouldn't call me anything but Mrs. Dixon, no matter how many times I told him to call me Danielle." I sniffled lightly.

We could see the dead from up on the catwalk.

"That's all of 'em." Daryl said as we looked down.

We went around to make sure none of the dead would come back and let the ones that lost loved ones say goodbye. In the last cell was a guy that hadn't been bit or tore into so we had Dr. S come in.

"No bites, no wounds. I think he just died." Rick said.

"Horribly, too. Pleurisy aspiration." Dr. S replied.

"Translation?" Daryl asked.

"He choked to death on his own blood. It's what caused those trails down his face." I told him.

He nodded and kissed my head.

"I've seen them before on a walker outside the fences." Rick said.

"They were on Patrick too." Daryl added.

"They're from the internal lung pressure building up, like if you shake a soda can and pop the top. Only it's your eyes, ears, nose and throat that's the top." Dr. S told us.
