"You want to do martial arts?" Budo asked Taro in confusion. Said boys fringe was falling into his eyes, and he brushed it away with the back of his hand.
"Yeah" he said, suddenly grabbing at his sleeves. "So many people are dying. I want to be able to defend myself if they come for me"
Budo accepted this as a valid reason, and reached out to shake his hand. "Fair enough"
"So... What do I do now?" Taro asked, dark grey eyes darting left and right nervously.
Budo chuckled, ruffling his hair. "Just come back at 7:30;that's when we begin club activity"
Taro prised budo's hand off of his head and blushed red, looking away. Realising this, buso also blushed and let his hand drop to his side.
"Thanks a lot, budo. Your a great friend" Taro said softly, beaming gently at budo before turning and leaving.
Through the door, budo could see a familiar blonde girl with her hair in two pigtails grab taro's arm, scowling and blushing.
He could see Taro laugh back, grabbing her arm and walking off with her, talking and cracking jokes as they went to class.
And budo felt an empty feeling in his chest.
