My phone rang. I picked it up and my face immediately lit up like fireworks. I quickly answered it.

"Dad!" I said. Archer glued his ear to the back of my phone the hear. I slapped him.

"Hey, sport!" Dad said. "How's school?"

"Better than ever."

"How's your...you know."He was talking about my powers.

"Its doing fine."

"How's your mother and Holly?"

"They're fine."

"So, sport, I'm off for a few weeks and I wanted you to come over for a few days."

"Really?! I can?"

"Yeah! Come over! Let's say, on Saturday?"

"Yeah! Hey, dad?"

"Yeah, sport?"

"I have a boyfriend."

"Mmmhmmm. Stop trying to trick me."

"I'm not! He's right next to me!"

"Does he know about it?"

"Yeah."

"He's right next to you?"

"Yeah."

"Put your phone on speaker." I did as I was told. "So..what's your name?" My dad's voice became all testy.

"Archer. Archer Trayton." Surprisingly, Archer sounded nervous.

"So, Archer, what is my daughter's favorite color?"

"Uh..." Archer turned to me. "Silver?"

I remember telling him. Thankfully, he was correct.

"Good. What's her favorite animal?"

"An Arctic Fox."

"Her favorite book?"

"I... I don't know that one. She reads too many."

"It's The Mark of Athena in Heroes of Olympus series."

"Oh."

"What's-"

"So, dad!" I cut off. "How's work?"

"It's alright. They hired a new worker. He's alright."

"I gotta go, but see you on Saturday!"

"Oh, wait! Bring that Archer of yours."

"What?"

"You heard me!"

"Bring him along, my test isn't finished! Bye!"

"Wait!" But he already hung up. I turned to Archer.

"Don't worry, I can go."

"Sure? My dad can be very...cautious."

He rolled his eyes. "I can tell. Now you have to tell me everything about you so I can be...eligible to be your girlfriend."

"Shouldn't you know already?"

"Well, you don't tell me anything."

"You never ask."

"Well, tell me now."

"Fine." I began lecturing about myself.
...

I stepped out of the car. Archer came out from the other side nervously. I turned around to look at him.
