Lee Soo Hyuk's POV

One afternoon, I was working my shift at a flower shop. I glanced outside and saw a girl run under the roof of the shop. I realized that it was raining really hard so I opened my umbrella and went out the front door. She was about to take off her jacket so I quickly held the umbrella over her head. Once she turned her head towards me, I was stunned with her beauty. I felt as if I was staring for way too long so I quickly said, "Take it with you." I tried to smile unawkwardly but I was so nervous and walked away. I didn't go back into the shop like how I was supposed to .-. So I stayed at the corner until she left and ran back inside the shop, drenched.

A few days later, she came by the flower shop and I helped her find her flowers. She started to come by a lot and I finally had the courage to ask her out on a date. I know I shouldn't have because of the work my father's in but I was already in love.

One morning, I woke up with ___ sleeping in my arms. I smiled and brushed her hair away from her face. Just then, I got a phone call so I quickly answered it and quietly said, "Just a minute." I gently took my arm out from under her head and slowly got out of bed. I headed out of the room, went back onto the phone and said, "Hello?"
"Your father was just shot and now they're coming after you!! You need to get out of Seoul!!" It was the voice of my dad's right hand man, Mr. Jeong.

I hung up the phone and looked back to see ___ sleeping peacefully. What do I do? I can't take her with me.

I grabbed all of my things, stuffed them into a bag and tried my best to not leave a trace of myself here or else she'd be in danger. Looking back at her face one more time, I kissed her forehead and quickly left.

Right when I was about to leave the building, I saw a group of men standing around outside as if waiting for someone. Me. I turned back around and ran out through the emergency exit.

Months Later

I was always on the run. Every night, I would think about ___ and wonder how she's doing. I even imagined her being here with me but when she disappeared, I knew I was just hallucinating. Recently I rented a small place in Busan and haven't been caught for about 2 weeks. That was until they finally found me. I ended up escaping back to Seoul a few days later.

I missed ___ so much that I thought I was hallucinating again when I saw her walking across the crosswalk. But then I realized that it was really her when I "bumped" into her and gently brushed my hand against hers. I was wearing a hat, sunglasses, and black clothing so she didn't recognize me. I also walked away really fast so that she wouldn't see me when she turned around. After that, everyday, I would shadow ___, just watch her from a distance and make sure everything was okay. It was all I could ever do for her anyways...

One day I was walking down the quiet and rainy streets, walking to a place to spread my father's ashes. But then I felt a presence behind me and turned around to see a group of men carrying poles, following me. Right when I made eye contact with one of them, they started running. So I ran too.

I heard a gun shot so then I realized that they also had a gun. They would yell and aim towards me, missing their shot. Unexpectedly, one of them appeared in front of me from the next corner and held the gun facing towards me. Before I could even do anything, a gun shot rang and I felt a sudden pulse of pain run through the left side of my stomach. I was shot. I dropped the box of my father's ashes and fell onto the ground. My head hit the cold surface with blood now trickling down my face. The group caught up to me and was about to start beating me up but then a voice said, "Leave him be. He's going to die anyways. Let him slowly feel the pain." The man chuckled and walked away with everyone else following. Damn you Jeong!

I had no more strength left in me to move and the rain made it even worse for my wound, but then the image of ___ came into my mind and I forced myself up. I have to see her at least one last time. I knew there was a chance I'd die before ever seeing her again and it wasn't very likely for me to run into her either, but I still forced myself to keep walking.

I arrived to the flower shop and leaned against the wall, out of breath. Not believing my eyes, I saw ___ walking down the street with the white umbrella I gave her long time ago. Right then, she looked up and looked my way. I quickly hid in the alley, not wanting her to see me like this. I tried fleeing as fast as I could but a voice yelled out, "Lee Soo Hyuk!"

I stopped in my tracks and stood still. I didn't want to turn around because I already knew who the voice belonged to. "You're Soo Hyuk aren't you? Turn around."

I always listen to you... I laugh at myself, quietly enough only for me to hear, and turn around.
