I was now officially drunk. Looking at the empty bottle in my hand, I let out a sigh as I was now out of Rum and Hennessy.

"Need more," I slurred out as I stumbled off my bed. The whole room was spinning. I stood up trying to find my balance. Getting downstairs was going to be a mission itself. Heading to the door, I struggled to open it only to realize it was locked. Unlocking it I stumbled through the halls and almost fell on my way down the stairs.

Looking around, I saw the lobby was still empty. I walked over to the bar and wiggled my way onto the bar stool.

I reached behind the counter from my seat and randomly pulled out a bottle of strawberry vodka. I shrugged and opened the bottle. I took a huge gulp and felt no sting. I chugged some more before putting the bottle on the counter. I then put my head on the counter and let my hair fall on my face.

I miss my parents. If they were here I wouldn't have to deal with anything. We would be a happy family. Cindy and Jerry wouldn't exist in my life. Godric probably wouldn't even be after me and the Devil would be bothering someone else.

"Tell me you are not drunk," I heard James's voice behind me.

I looked up slowly and turned to look at him. He had wet droplets on his shirt and his hair looked a little wet. I assumed it was raining outside.

"I am not drunk," I slurred out with a lie.

He raised his eyebrow, "Really?" he questioned.

I nodded slowly with a smile. "Really."

He walked up to me and folded his arms in front of his chest. "Get up and walk."

"Fuck you," I mumbled causing him to chuckle.

"Want to tell me what happened?" he asked.

I shook my head. I don't want to tell him anything. He'll just be worried and overprotective.

"Skylar. You know your drunk self can't really hold things in so I'm giving you one more chance. You either tell me or I'll get it out of you," he warned.

I don't want him to know anything. I stood up and started to walk down the hallway. "We're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship," I sang, waving my hands in the air from side to side.

"Not so fast," he said, grabbing my arm.

"You're no fun," I frowned.

He rolled his eyes. He was about to say something but his phone rang.

I took the chance to get out of his grip and stumbled into the kitchen. Some of the guys were in here along with Lucifer. They were eating pizza.

"Drunk are we?" Carter questioned with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up," I said, grabbing a slice of pizza.

"Skylar!" James yelled behind me.

BOOM!

"Fuck you, thunder. You can suck my dick," I sang and flipped the bird sign then shoved the slice of pizza in my mouth.

He groaned in annoyance. "Why are you drunk? Something happened. If it was Godric then you wouldn't be this drunk. What happened?" he asked.

I bit my tongue so I couldn't talk.

"I kind of told her that her parents must be proud of her by mistake. In my defense, I didn't know they died," Lucifer admitted.

I shook my head. "Yeah that's it," I spoke up, trying to end the subject.

James tensed up at Lucifer. "That's not all. If he didn't know our parents died then something else happened," he said looking at me. I gave him a smile as I shoved my pizza in my mouth.

He then looked at Lucifer. "What else happened?"

I turned to look at the guys in need of help. They knew about my personal problems even with Cindy and Jerry. "I'm not getting my ass kicked in Combat training by James again," Alex stated.

I rolled my eyes. "Pussy."

"Yeah. A lady and a guy were talking to her on the phone. They said some pretty harsh things to her and said they'll find her," Lucifer informed James before looking at me.

Man, does this guy ever shut up? Lucifer seemed to tense up for a few seconds before settling back down.

God if you're watching this take place, please let the doorbell ring or something. I'll be good. I'll go to church and everything. I would not even kill Ethan when he comes back.

"Take me to church. I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies..." I burst out singing. "I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife..."

"Harsh as in what?" James asked, looking at me and then at Lucifer.

"Please don't," I pleaded with Lucifer. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of me begging the Devil not to snitch.

He started at me for a few seconds before letting out a sigh, "They said she was 'whoring around' and that she probably has an STD. They also said her parents are probably glad they died."

"Your foster parents called and said that!" James yelled causing me to flinch. When James is mad, it looked like the Hulk was emerging.

"Those are your foster parents," Lucifer asked, baffled at this new information. I swear, for someone who is the Devil, he is on the maximum level of stupidity. I thought he was supposed to know everyone and everything.

James walked up to me and hugged me. "Sorry. I didn't mean to make you flinch."

I wrapped my arms around him and sighed, "It's okay. We all know you're secretly the Hulk."

"Amen to that," Mason said, holding up a pizza causing all of us to laugh.

After a moment of silence, James and I were released from the hug. He cupped my cheek, "I promise I will not let them lay a hand on you ever again." He said then kissed my forehead.

"Thank you," I muffled into his chest as I hugged him again, tears now streaming down my face.

"I will always protect you with my life, little sister," he whispered into my hair.
