I looked in front of me to see a white and gold Rolls Royce parked in the driveway. I looked to the driver seat to see Lucifer starting the car.

"Of course," I mumbled to myself while walking over. He immediately got out of the car and I held my hand up. "I could open the door for myself," I stated as I opened the passenger door and then got in. The interior was all white with gold highlights.

I closed the door and he got in the driver's seat. I buckled my seatbelt and stared down at my phone to see it was 7:05 in the evening. We pulled out of the driveway and started to drive down the street. "Sky, I'm sorry," he apologized once again. I stayed quiet not knowing how to respond.

"I'm not cheating on you. I swear. It's just... I didn't want to take you. Going to this banquet you will meet a lot of people who may be very wealthy... not that you aren't wealthy. I mean they're not the good type of wealthy. They don't get their money....the legal way," he paused trying to find the right words. I sat there quietly as I looked out my window.

"Skylar, I'm sorry I snapped at you. I didn't mean for it to happen," he huffed.

"It's always the same thing," I yelled. "You never mean for stuff to happen," I blurted out as I kept looking out the window.

"It's not like that. I mean it is but I didn't mean for it to happen. You just sometimes get under my skin and I lash out," he explained.

I looked at him furiously. "I get under your skin?" I repeated. "Lucifer, I let you in. I broke down everything and let you in. From my powers to my parents to the guys then the organization. You know everything there is about me and I barely know anything about you," I argued.

I watched as he tightened his grip on the steering wheel causing his knuckles to turn white. "To be fair, I already knew about the organization," he mumbled.

"What?!" I yelled. "So this whole fucking time you had me waste my time explaining shit to you?"

"Technically no. I didn't know you were in it," he stated.

"Unbelievable," I mumbled. "I can't fucking believe you," I groaned.

"Me? What about you?" he growled while looking at me.

"What about me? Huh?" I yelled.

"You just call for attention. That show you put on in the arena. You just wanted attention and sympathy!" he stated.

My mouth dropped in shock. "Wow. You are so ... ERRRRR!!" I screamed in frustration.

"So what?" he questioned. "Can't come up with a word?" he mocked.

"I can't because you're so full of yourself that there's not a single word on this Earth that can describe you," I spat while looking at him.

"Awe, thanks," he smirked. Man, I wish I could smack that smirk right off his face.

"Maybe you should have just taken your other date!" I yelled.

"It's not a maybe. I should have taken her instead of you," he growled. I stayed silent and turned around in my seat so I was looking out the window again. He said what I didn't want to hear. We weren't meant to be. He was the Devil and I shouldn't be with him. Everything just sank faster than the Titanic.

Silence filled the car as we drove to the banquet. The car came to a halt and I looked up to see a huge mansion. People were all dressed up and walking in. I looked around the place to see it was full of security. We drove up behind a car and waited for the valet to come to get his car.

"Let's get one thing straight. I am not your girlfriend. I am just your date. Makeup whatever you want about me. I don't care," I said not looking him in the eyes. I knew he was looking at me but I didn't want to see him. "Sky -" he was cut off by me exiting the car.
