Talon's POV.
I came out of the bathroom after spending the whole lunch period making myself throw up. My neck throbbed, from the scratching of my throat after throwing up blood because I had nothing else left.
I walked into math, a little late. I took my seat next to Araya quickly. "Hey, baby." She greeted. She smiled at me. I forced a smile back. "Hi." I said quickly, my voice raspy. She didn't seem to notice, and she looked down at the algebra on her desk. I felt tears in my eyes, but quickly blinked them away before she looked back at me. I kept that fake smile on my face.
I was lying to the one I loved. Why? Why had I done it? I was killing myself while I was trying to keep her from killing herself.
I was dying while she was getting better.
She was getting better.
The sentence replayed itself over and over in my head.

The whole time, I smiled.
