Chapter 23: Return

Then I thought of an idea. I started walking towards my mother's house, she would help me. Wouldn't she? I knocked on the door, she answered. There was an awkward silence.
"Come in..." she said.
"What is happening Light?"
"I don't know, I just woke up human" I replied.
"Well whatever your here for, I'm not interested. You murderer".
"Ok whatever I don't need your help anyway". I walked out and slammed the door.

"Damn I'm screwed now. I have nothing" I screeched quietly. It was getting late. I sat behind a couple of buildings and watched people walk past. I fell asleep. I was woken by the sound of talking. Someone was here. I sat up.
"Uh hello?" I said awkwardly.
It was a girl, in her 20s. She had blonde hair, she seemed familiar.

"Light?" Said the girl.
"Who are you and how do you know my name?"
"I'm Misa, Misa Amane. We used to date remember!" She said.
"Misa? Youre alive?"
"Yes. Come with me"
I followed her she took me to her house.
"I thought you were dead" she said.
I explained everything to her.
"So you died, and now your back alive?"
"Yes" I said.
"I'm glad your back" said Misa.
