Spilled Contents

You were out at the shops because you had run out of food you needed for dinner. The store was only 10 minutes walk so you decided to walk there.

You were browsing the aisles for a can of tinned tuna and when you finally found it, you picked it up. It somehow slipped out of your hand and fell on the floor. The tuna can opened and the tuna was scattered and spread all over the floor.

You turned around to see if anyone else had seen you drop it and you saw one handsome blonde on the opposite side. He was staring at you, probably from the noise the can made. You looked at his face to see him laughing. You walk up to him.

"Excuse me, do you really need to laugh? It was a mistake and I don't appreciate you laughing." You say as you approach him.

"I'm sorry. Your reaction was just adorable. You're a very gorgeous girl." He compliments.

"Well thanks, but that doesn't change the fact that you laughed at me." You sass.

"I'm really sorry. I'll go get someone to clean it up." He walks off before returning minutes later with a worker.

"No, she just dropped it and it fell. It just needs a bit of cleaning." The mystery blonde says to the worker as they approach you.


The worker cleans it up and you send your thanks to them before they leave. You then get caught up in a conversation with the blonde. He was standing a few feet away from you when you were talking but it gave you the chance to really look at him and see his incredible looks. He was so handsome.

"Um, thanks for that." You say.

"Yeah, no problem. What's your name?" He asks.

"Y/N, and you?"

"I'm Niall and I have a question." He says.

"Of course, go ahead."

"Um, do you have a boyfriend?"

"You think I'm going to have a boyfriend?" You laugh.

"I'm suprised. You're gorgeous and your laugh is adorable, but u-um, would you like to get some lunch with me?" He asks, nervously scratching his neck.

"Well thank you, and that would be lovely."

You both finish paying for your groceries before you head to your cars and then go and grab some lunch. You learn so much more about the handsome man and it turns out, he was much lovelier than you thought.

~2 years later~

You and Niall were both laying on your couch, your head on Niall's chest as he plays with your hair, kissing you every now and then. There was nothing you loved doing more with Niall.

"Who knew we would get to here from me being the clumsy idiot I am." You say, reminiscing about the day you two met.

"It's crazy. And I know I'm going to sound crazy too, but from the moment I saw you, I knew I wanted to make you mine." He says, kissing you after.

The small kiss leads into another, more passionate kiss and then you both decide to go up to the bedroom, continuing what you were doing and a little more.

Who knew dropping a can of tuna would help you find your lover. He was the most perfect man, such a gentleman, so caring, so loving and just overall amazing.
