Backstage Shenanigans

Tonight Niall was doing yet another Jingle Ball performance and of course, you were there to support him. He was still getting used to performing by himself, but he was also enjoying it just as much.

With the crowd going wild and singing along each time he performed, it made him feel a lot more confident and less overwhelmed and nervous. He had nothing to be nervous for though because each time he went out, he absolutely killed it and had the whole audience standing up at the end.

Right now you were backstage hanging out with Niall, just sitting and watching him get his hair done. The smallest blonde strands were peeking through but his hair was almost full brunette now, something you loved to see.

Once he's done, he moves over to get changed and ready for his performance and interviews. Tonight he was wearing a white long sleeve because it was coming into cooler months in America and a pair of black skinny jeans, along with a pair of brown boots. He looked amazing, like usual.

"You look amazing Ni." You say as he walks over to you when he's ready.

"Thanks beautiful. You're gorgeous." He says, pecking you on the lips. "Well I have to get going to the interview, you want to come or stay here? I'll only be a few." 

"I'll stay here Ni, you go." You say as he pecks your lips again before leaving.

Niall had just finished with all his interviews and you were now just hanging out in his dressing room waiting for his turn to go on stage.

You hear a knock on the door and are quickly up and walking over to it, wanting to see who's behind it. When you open it, you see Shawn Mendes.

"Hi love, how are you?" He says as he gives you a hug.

"I'm good thank you, how are you?" You reply, smiling widely.

"I'm good thank you love. Can I hang out with you guys for a while?" He asks.

"Of course, Niall's just over on the couch in the corner." You say, referring to where Niall is sitting around the corner.

"Awesome, thank you." He says, walking over to him as you follow.

"Hey mate." Shawn says to Niall as Niall stands up, giving him a 'brother hug and handshake'.

Ever since Niall and Shawn met, they'd become really good friends and always talked when they had the chance. They've also had a writing session together and were discussing a collaboration. (A/N: Praying this happens irl.)

Shawn was one of your favourite artists and you were so grateful you go to meet him and talk to him.

"Shawn! How are ya doing buddy?" Niall asks.

"Great thanks, you?" 

"I'm great thanks. You hanging out in here for a while?" Niall asks.

"Yeah, I go on in about 20 so I thought I'd come and see you guys." Shawn says.

"Well Y/N's definitely glad you're here." Niall laughs, as he looks over to you and brings you over to him.

"Yeah? Big fan?" Shawn asks.

"Definitely, she doesn't stop talking about you and she doesn't stop playing your albums around our house. She has 'em going on 24/7." Niall says, causing a blush to form on your cheeks.

"Well thank you love, I feel honoured." He laughs.

"How about we jam until we have to go? I'm right after you so I'll just go with you." Niall says.

"Sounds good." Shawn says as Niall sits down with his guitar.

Niall starts playing 'Life of the Party' by Shawn Mendes and as soon as Shawn and yourself recognise the tune, you're singing along also. You pull out your phone, recording the two boys singing together and uploading it to your Instagram.

Once it has posted, you put your phone away and continue jamming. This was one of your favourite things to do, jamming along to music with Niall and it was even better with Shawn Mendes.

Not long after, Shawn gets called to go on stage, so him, Niall and yourself walk to where you're supposed to meet next to the stage and both Shawn and Niall get ready, both of their microphones and guitars being sorted out.

You watch as Shawn walks on stage, the whole stadium cheering wildly. He performs his set and you sing along to all of his songs, dancing like crazy. 

He comes off and then it's Niall's turn. As soon as he walks on, the crowds cheers are even louder and in that moment, you feel so proud. Going from barely any solos to having stadiums cheering for just him is something to feel proud of and you make sure to let him know of that.

You stand with Shawn and sing as Niall performs his one song and then comes off. He meets up with you on the side of the stage and the 3 of you stay talking, watching the other artists perform. 

Once the show is nearing the end, you say goodbye to Shawn and you and Niall go back to Niall's dressing room while Shawn goes back to his. 

Tonight was the most fun you've had in a long time and you're so grateful you got to spend it with 2 incredible guys.

I'm not really sure how these are shenanigans but we'll just roll with it anyway HAHAH. I had to include Shawn in this because favvvv apart from Niall obviously. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one and please vote if you did! xx
