First Word (Baby Series)

Ciara was growing up, and quick. She turned 1 just over a week ago and you were waiting for her to say her first word. She's started to walk and she's a very loud baby, but she hasn't said a proper word yet.

You and Niall had just woken up and were downstairs cooking breakfast while Ciara was in the living room across from you, playing in her play pen. She was such a beautiful girl and you and Niall felt like the luckiest people in the world.

You finished up cooking some bacon and eggs, serving them on 2 plates for you and Niall and placing a small portion in a bowl for Ciara.

You walked over to the dining room, placing the plates on the table as Niall went to pick Ciara out from the play pen.

"D-aadaa." You hear, your head immediately flicking towards Ciara. She had her arms out as Niall was about to pick her up.

"Did you hear that?" Niall asked, in shock as he looked over at you.

"Mhm." You nod, walking over to them. "What was that baby?"

"Dada!" Your baby says louder and more excitedly.

You look over at Niall once again, noticing tears filling his eyes.

"I'm her first word." Niall says, Ciara in his arms by now.

"You sound surprised. We all knew her first word would be dada or daddy, she's such a daddy's girl." You laugh, tears also brimming your eyes.

"I can't believe it." Niall smiles, placing a kiss on Ciara's head. "I love you so much baby girl." He says.

"She loves you so much too Ni." You say, looking at him as a tear escapes and rolls down his cheek. You place your thumb on his cheek, wiping the tear away.

"Don't cry Ni." You laugh softly.

"I can't help it. I love her so much and I'm so in love with you Y/N, thank you so much for giving me her." He says, more tears flowing down his cheek.

"I love you Ni, you're adorable. She wouldn't be here without you though daddy, it takes two remember?" You smirk, Niall letting out a chuckle.

"But you kept her healthy for 9 months, and daddy is very grateful." He smirks as he uses 'daddy'.

Niall leans in to you, placing a kiss on your lips.

"Let's eat, yeah? The food's going cold." You say, walking over to the table, Niall and Ciara following.

"I need to call Mum!" Niall says when you're sitting on the couch later that day.

He picks up his phone, dialling his mum's contact number.

"Nialler?" You hear his mum say as Niall puts the phone on speaker.

"Hey Mum, Y/N's here too." Niall says.

"Hi darling, how are you?" Maura says to you.

"Hi Maura, I'm good thank you. How are you?" You reply.

"I'm great thank you. How's my little grandbaby?" She giggles.

"Well we actually have some news." You say happily.

"Oh, what is it?" She asks curiously.

"Ciara said her first word." Niall answers.

"Oh my gosh, what a cutie! What was it?" Maura replies.

"It was Dada." Niall says, beaming as bright as you've ever seen.

"Oh gosh, who knew." She laughs. "I'm very happy for you two."

"Thanks mum." Niall replies.

"Well, when are you kids coming to see me next?" Maura says.

"We're actually coming soon, Maura. Niall's got a few more meetings here in London and then we'll be over. He's releasing another song in a few weeks so it'll be busy after that and we'll get over before that happens." You say.

"I can't wait, darling. Well, I'll talk to you all soon." She says.

"Bye Mum!" 

"Bye Maura."

"Bye guys, I love you."

This was pretty boring but I decided to do it anyway. I was going to do an imagine for the 1st birthday party but I wasn't sure what to write. I think I'm just going to do a few more parts to this baby series and then finish and move on.
